P.S. Just something I've always wondered: Is it normal for taller people to wear larger sizes just due to their height? Because I look at at size 6 and I don't think it would ever be possible for me to fit into it...
Yup. For those that are taller, your hips should be bigger because most skeletons are proportional frames. Models that are around 5'11 are normally size 6's (like Gisele Bundchen) and usually at smallest a size 4 at that height. But it will be very very normally for a tall 5'9 person to be a size 8. That's actually quite healthy.
Well the biggest size I ever had to buy was a 14, and that was in pants at my highest weight. I just bought a skirt yesterday, and a 12 seemed to fit me perfectly (couldn't quite zip up a 10). The lowest I have ever bought (as far as I remember) is an 8, and I that was a pair of stretchy capris that I still have in my closet. I'd really like to be an 8, which I know is definitely possible. I think it would be really cool to be a size 6 though, haha but I'll see when I get down to my goal weight I guess??
I am 5'8" so like you guys have mentioned in this thread, I'm tall and maybe a size 6 would not really fit me well due to my height (and I do have big bones)
In French size, I am currently depending on the clothes, a 38, 40 or 42. Which would be... 36, 38 or 40 in Euro sizes... so if my conversion is right, that would amount to a 6, 8 or 10. But it really depends. On average, I must be a 6-8, and more a 8-10 on the hips. (It'd help if clothes manufacturers used the same measures, though. This is so confusing.)
Certainly confusing, since some of the stores I go to use Euro sizing, so if the kooky US differences weren't enough for me--- now I get completely confuzzled!
I was at a tight 24W to begin with and am now a size 4, but I would like to get to a size 2. I don't think that I would ever be able to get smaller, though, because my bone structure won't allow it.
I'd like to be a 9 Canadian. Not sure what the equivalent is in US sizes...6? 7?
Sizes are shrinking everywhere! I wore an 11 Canadian back when I was a 125 lb teenager with no arse. X_X According to the measurements on the old Misses Sizes charts, I should be a 14 right now.
Shrinkingchica -- I'm not even sure if I got it right. But from what I've found on the web, to get the European size, you need to add +30 to the US size (so a 22 would be a 52 in European, etc.). And French sizes are European size +2.
Hmm, no wonder I'm always confused, come to think of it...
I hate women's clothing sizes! I love New York and Co (when I can get my mom to pay for it ) but they're about to vanity size me right out of the store! There I wear a 2, but I'm really more like a 4 or 6 (or 5 or 7 depending on if they use odds or evens argh! ).
It's so annoying. The saddest part being because I have such a short torso what fits me best is little boy's clothing anyways. But on the plus side they're cheap and Target has some really cute ones.
At my heaviest I was "wearing" (through some twist of time space that must existed in those pants) a size 9 but I was probably about 20lbs too heavy for them and should have been in a 11 or 13.
I'm actually wearing the same jeans now (need to do the wash ) and they're too big, probably about a size, but not that insanely big. Either sizes have gotten bigger since I got these things as a freshman in high school, or these jeans have some sort of magic fairy dust in them.

Hmmm this is a hard one for me. Its been at least a good 5 yrs or more since I bought women's jeans. So I have no idea really what size I wear. I tried to buy a pair of women's jeans several months back but quit looking when not even a size 13 -14 fit me. So I have no idea there. I weigh currently 164 and wear a size 36x32 men's jeans semi comfortably. I would like to be back down somewhere between a 32 or 30.
I peaked out at a size 20, but right now I am in a very loose (falling off and showing buttcrack LOL) 18, but 16's are still too snug
My ideal size would be a 6-8, but I know I wear a size 8-10 at the goal weight I have set for myself. I will just wait and see if I feel comfortable at my goal weight, and move on from there.

I wear a size 11 and I weigh 159. I've been down to 148lb (last year) and still couldn't go down a size. I guess I've got too much junk in the trunk! LOL. But really, I am very curvy and was built with a big ol' booty and hips. I'd like to wear an 8, without sacrificing figure
hhmm right now I am a 16 in pants and large/xl in tops. I love DKNY, I was able to buy a size 14 and they fit really nice but I have an Old Navy pair of pants in size 14 that I cant fit into.
My ideal size would be a size 5/6 in pants and small/medium in tops. When I graduated high school I was 107 so I would LOVE to be close to that same size (which was 3/4) and I didn't not look sickly.
