I think red wine is the best bang for your buck. It's 85 calories for a glass of red wine (a glass is considered 4 oz not 1cup!) but the alcohol content is way higher than beer so you're likely to need less to get a buzz. White wine has 80 calories per glass but I tend to drink white way faster and end up having way more than I'd like
There's also the hard alcohol with diet mixer option as said above. I just think that you need to accept that you need to curb it a little but you don't have to cut it out of your life, esp if you plan for it.

Same problem here. I just cut down on my drinking. I don't do it that often, and when I do...I drink probably two and that's it. I used to drink Bud Light..but I switched to Miller Light...I think because it has lesser calories and carbs...-shrugs- LOL.

So, yeah. Just cut down how much you drink, and how many times a week you drink..and you'll be fine.

If I'm just going for one or two drinks, I find I do better psychologically with heavy beers...a Guinness is certainly more calories than a shot with some zero-calorie mixer, but a pint is often enough to make me feel full, so I won't graze, snack, grab a midnight snack, or any of those other things I tend to do when my judgement is impaired.

I, too, suffer from this problem. I love to drink! Whether its out at the bar our at home in my hot tub, there is always liquor flowing lol

I love Gin and Tonic, but tonic has a lot of calories in it and more often than not, a bar does not carry diet tonic on tap. If you are a vodka drinker, it's really really good mixed with Fresca! I also mix vodka with Crystal Light...I think its safe as long as your mix is diet. It's very difficult to cut booze out of your life completely when you are a drinker like me, but there are creative ways around it.

I love the sugar-free jello shot idea!!!!
