Ugh. I can't stand my gut either. I was pudgy before, but then when I had my son, it reshaped itself and now it's lumpy and bumpy and SAGGY. Ugh. Well, I'm working on it one day at a time.

yeah I got the gut too. It's good for faking pregnant and cutting in line It only bothers me sometimes. I've always had it so it's not a big deal to me. I'm really looking forward to the day I can look straight down and see my toes without having to move the buddha belly, though. "Hello toes, how are you doing down there?"

I too carry just about all of my fat in my stomach and it is painful to me. My upper stomach is toning, but my lower is not and should I put on a pair of pants that FIT! I get a shelf like situation where my rolls are really pronounced. I have been working on toning, different times of sit ups and crunched and leg lifts and kicks... and, well, I could keep listing it. I wish it were gone already. @_@

I just keep repeating to myself "It didn't appear one day, so it won't dissapear one day"

I've defenitly noticed a reduction after doing Pilates for six weeks, but its still HUGE! ARGH!

I'm with you on the gut thing! I am a mom of two boys, age 6 and 1! I lost a good bit of weight with the first boy, after gaining 55 lbs with him! But I gained it all back by the time I was pregnant again. I only gained 25lbs with the 2nd, and after I had him, I went down to my before baby weight, but it was ALL in different places! I always get compliments on how nice my legs are and my husband still thinks I'm beautiful, but I want to FEEL beautiful!

my god i know how you all feel! That is my MAIN problem. Other than the fact that I have huge boobs (which i wish i could just get them whacked). i think the boobs makes me look even fatter than I am! My arms have never been my problem, not too bad with my legs either, maybe my thighs a little but not terribly bad. My boyfriend has said to me that my stomach is where he sees that my weight loss has been so far, so that in itself makes me happy.

I guess I'm "lucky" in that I seem to have a pretty even distribution of weight everywhere. I did notice, though, that doing South Beach, you tend to lose your stomach first. That's what they claim, and I found it to be true.

Default Abs, Abs baby!

Boy, I know how you feel. Most of my weight is concentrated in my stomach and butt. The abs are the first place I gain and the last place I lose. So, I'm making a concentrated effort to tone that area with multiple abs exercises, crunches and sit-ups. I plan to add a Pilates session when I am a little more limber. I also bought a stability ball, which I'm told works really well for toning the middle, abs and butt. CORE exercises are supposed to be great for the abs too.

Good luck to you!
