I need to do some laundry so I pulled the last pair of jeans out of my dresser today. They were size 22 (I got them in October they were very tight but they were the first jeans I purchased in I don't know how many years). I put them on and they are practically falling off of me. I think this will be the last time I can wear these jeans and then they are going to have to go into my fat pile. I can't wait to wear the 16 misses jeans that I purchased from the thrift store last week.

I am also wereing a juniors xl top apposed to a 20-22 womens that I was wearing before. Oh and all of my t-shirts that are 2x they don't fit anymore I wear them as a matter of fact all of my xl t-shirs are boarderline on being way to big.

I'm glad I decided to log on and check the board today. Yesterday, because of the freakishly warm weather, I decided to wear shorts that I bought a couple years ago when I was in California. My legs didn't look like tree trunks trying to wear pants, they actually had a nice shape. Then when I buttoned them up, I HAD to find the belt they came with because they were loose!

I LOVE Archy's comment and totally agree...HOORAY FOR THE CROTCH!!!

Awww - these are great to read! Lets keep this thread up!

The only thing I can think of is like Tracy's - I've had to start wearing a belt with my favorite jeans to keep them up

Les - You are a much better person than I am. I can't stand to watch a sporting event without beer!

Shelby - congrats. I'm starting to run (badly), and 8 miles is like...wow.

New NSV - Had to buy a new sports bra. My old one was just painful. It was like the boobies were doing aerobics as well. Now I have 3 sports bras!

EDIT: I have to find an NSV that doesn't have anything to do with my womanly parts...

Nothing wrong with a womanly NSV...

Actually, that same day I wore the shorts I was standing at the bathroom mirror with the door open and my shirt pulled up to bra area looking at how much my waist has changed and the way the shorts fit. The angle is just right to see the sink area from the desk right here. I had no idea Tim was looking and he's like "wow, lookin good!" That made me feel so much better about taking my abnormally white self out in shorts. I'll blind a few people with the glow of my legs if it means my husband is proud of what his wife looks like

My assistant principal just poked her head in my classroom and called me out into the hall. She had to tell me how good I was looking and that she is proud of how well I'm doing. (and it's almost time to get new uniform shirts... the ones I bought in Sept I'm swimming in)

these are all awesome!

I put on some khakis today and i didn't have to fight with them to get them on. And then when I was walking down the street I saw my reflection in a window and I wasn't disgusted!

Wow! Sounds like everyone's doing great!

archy... sounds like you got me confused with Liz! I'm JUST starting running VERY slowly, too, and to me, eight miles is also WOW!!! I'll be thrilled when I can do THREE!! So Liz, YAY for you!

My NSV from last night...
I bought my bf Oreos for his birthday -- I didn't have time to make a cake! Yesterday he went out for a bit, and they called my name. I'm never successful at resisting temptation when he's out of the house... but I did it! I opened the bag, took one out, then thought, "No, I'm working my butt off too hard to sabotage it by eating this Oreo." It was a very proud moment in my life, as small as it may seem!

Shelby-- that's NOT a small thing-- resisting the urge to shove things in my mouth is the hardest part of this WHOLE dieting thing !

This thread is a great inspiration. And Archy's first NSV definitly made my day.

As for me, all of April has so far been an NSV:

It is exam time for those of us in Uni, and last semester during exam period I was in binge/guilt/purge or severe diet cycles 24/7. And this april I haven't been binging everyday! While I was working I was eating horribly (I work at Tim Horton's which = free doughnuts), but I didn't succoumb to feelings of guilt/self loathing. I basically let myself have this month diet free.

And the fact that I don't feel guilty for not trying to lose weight honestly feels great.

Yay! I love this thread! I have another one! I was just talking to my assistant and I was holding a plant in my hand to carry it to the bathroom to water and she was like "OMG Liz - I can totally see the muscle in your arms when you are carrying that plant!" I was so happy!!!
