another thing that is deceitful with calories is some salads at restaurants. You think, "Oh! Lettuce! it must be good for me!" Not the case at all if you aren't careful- the restaurants use full fat dressing, and full fat cheese, croutons that are covered in butter before they are cooked (if they are homemade) and then there is bacon, and eggs, and sometimes the meet isn't always grilled. Dressing on the side, asking for low fat dressing, and getting grilled chicken is a great start, but it is still surprisingly high in calories.
I remember being shocked when I got on the Chick-fil-A website and looked at the salads- the grilled chicken salad was still the same amount of WW points as the chicken sandwich- which is fried and then on a white bun with butter!
Still, eating out is a part of life. Don't overdo it, eat well the rest of the day, and maybe work out a bit more. Then you should be just fine. Life is too short to sit at home eating carrot sticks ALL the time.
