Default Wedding present - need advice

Need some input here.

In approx. 1 month from now, a close friend of mine is getting married. This person is morbidly obese. He does not practice any physical activity and have very bad eating habits.

His wife to be has a passion for outdoor activities. They already have 2 kids. As a wedding gift, I was thinking buying them a 1 year family pass to Quebec’s National Parks.

I thought this is was a good idea, since it may give my friend an incentive to do more physical activity; like hiking. On the other hand, since this person is very sensitive, I am not sure how he will take it.

Your opinion ?

I think that's a fantastic idea! It says nothing like "you need to get out more" but it says that you want to give them something the whole family can enjoy together. Maybe you could put it into a picnic basket.

i agree with the ladies. it's a great idea. especially with the picnic basket. it gives the idea it's more of a family outing thing then a gym/workout thing. and this is something the couple can do together with or without the kids. go for it!
