Congratulations on the great successes, everyone! My own NSV is that, instead of waiting until warmer weather gets here, as originally planned, I actually got off my duff and went walking 40 minutes Monday & Wednesday (there was ICE on the track!), 30 minutes yesterday. And I'll be off for another 40 minute walk shortly.

It feels good to be doing this -- many years ago, when I was a stay-at-home mom, I was walking up to 3-miles a day while my daughter was at school. Then I started working again and stopped making the time. I'm looking forward to getting - and staying - back on track.

My NSV was that I ran outside for the first time today. I woke up at 8 looked outside, the sun was shining, and though, yes I'll go and do it. It was really lovely and it sure beats the treadmill!!!!

Oh and a non weight related NSV was that I went shopping today and didn't buy any clothes

Default Out with the old, in with the older? ....

Love this thread! Great NSV's everyone, so inspiring.

My NSV this week was that I had to dig up 2 bags of old clothes out of the closet so I could find some "new" clothes to wear. I started this journey in November wearing a size 20 jeans and size XL or XL tops, but I can now get back into my size 16 jeans (and, gasp! even some larger(?) 14s) and some L or XL tops. It felt great because it was like shopping for new clothes without spending the money!

Way to go everyone with your successes. I haven't been doing very well lately, but was able to ignore the tasty looking St. Patricks Day cake in the break room at work. I have to grasp every little victory ~ no matter how small ~ that I can.

Great victories everyone. Mine for this month is I got the best compliment last night. We were at Caribou Coffee and we were talking to some friends of our friends. Weight loss came up and I told them that I had lost 245 lbs. Doug said you don't look like someone who had lost a lot of weight. That was about the nicest compliment someone could give me. To think that I look normal is an awesome feeling. Most people give you the standard "you must feel better" as if your going to feel worse.

SAPF, that's so cool!!

So much fun to read all these great NSVs. Howie, if you weren't beaming on the outside from that comment, I bet you were on the inside.

I was in Hawaii for a week and this trip was so different from my first trip when I had just started my weight loss journey and was 245 lbs. I had no trouble getting into the kayak after snorkeling--actually able to hoist my body up out of the water with relative ease. Weight lifting pays off! And just being in a swimsuit was so much easier this time. Next time I go to Hawaii, I plan to be at goal, which will make the trip even sweeter.

Wow, you guys really help keep me motivated. Congratulations to everyone who has had a NSV this month.

My family and I are vacationing in Oregon this week. This was the first time in eight years that I haven't had to get a seat belt extender on the plane. I was able to leave the armrests down between my seat and my daughters and was able to lower the tray without it brushing against my stomach (my belly is the bane of my existence ).

I bought a new pair of pants 3 weeks ago because all of my old clothes are too big now. I had put them in the closet and just hadn't picked them out of the closet until I packed them for our trip. I wore them today for the first time and they are LOOSE! The waistband is quite loose and I may have to find a safety pin in a few weeks.

So today was a NSV. A couple of weeks ago I put on a pair of jeans I have had for a little while. They were on sale and I swore I would fit into them, how do you pass up a pair of jeans for $10. So back to the story. When I tried them on they fit but were just a little to tight for my liking. Everyone told me, they looked great but in my head they made me look huge. Well this morning I decided to try them on again. They fit perfectly and were even a little loose in the legs. I'm so excited, now I just need to pack up all the jeans that are to big for me and say goodbye for good, but its hard. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I have not posted an NSV in quite a while. This weekend I decided I needed some new work out clothes, because the ones I had were way too big (what a nice feeling). I went to my favourite plus size store (Penningtons), and I went from a 4x (~size 24-26) down to a 2x (~size 18-20). Oh Happy Day!

Me! ME! I've got one!
My boyfriend bought me a promise ring this past weekend...besides the fact that it's GORGEOUS, it's a size EIGHT! In the past, I've always worn size 9-9 1/2 in rings!

WTG everyone! It's always motivating to read this thread.

I've been "noticing" a little nsv happening for a few weeks now, and this morning as I got out of the shower and dressed I kept looking at my back in the angled mirror. I've always had some fat on the sides of my back right above my waist - you know that spot where your tee shirts or blouses get stuck and ride up a little? It's gotten so small now. Doesn't look like my back! OK, there's still some fat there but it's much SMOOTHER now!! Also, from my last measurements 2 months ago to now I've lost 25 inches from the few spots I measure!!

I have had 2 more NSVs and March isn't over yet.

Today, the person who delivers our mail in the office said to me, "MY GOD, YOU ARE GETTING LITTLE!" Then I had lunch with someone I hadn't seen in a while last week and she said, "As I came down the hallway, I didn't know if it was you or not - you have lost a ton of weight." I still haven't told anyone I've been going to WW except my husband and one other person. It's fun to hear the comments when you haven't told anyone because then you know they are more genuine and not just saying that because they know you are working at it.

What wonderful things you're all having happening. I love 'em!

Our amazing YP1 inspired me to try running this afternoon. Me!?! I managed two whole blocks before my panting got the better of me. Hmm... perhaps if I quit those last few ciggies I'll be able to make it three....
