All of this reminds me how far I've come. Thanks for asking this question.

I have an elliptical with a heart rate monitor. When I started toward the end of July, I first tried 20 minutes in one session at my target heart rate range, and it didn't take much to get me in that range , & I could NOT do it. I would finish the 20 minutes & had to go to bed and was STILL so tired that I could barely keep my eyes open So instead, I tried 10 minutes twice a day and built up a little more each week until I was doing all of my exercise in one sessions. Now I'm up to 45 minutes 3-4 times a week & 45 minutes of walking with my husband & dog 3 times a week. But it was a very slow & gradual process, I just added 2 minutes per week. Now to stay in my target heart rate range, I have to exercise MUCH faster.

I have lost pretty slowly, about 16 lbs., but the effects of exercising have been phenomenal. I sleep better & I feel better. I slacked off some on exercising last week & I noticed a huge difference in the way I felt. So I guess I'm addicted now. Who would have thunk it?
