Jenny, you go girl! Great to hear you positive and planning.

My latest "bargain food" is walnuts. They're good for your heart, and though they're high in fat, it's heart-healthy, unsaturated fat. One ounce of them goes a long way in a salad or as a snack to keep me going.

This is what I mean by bargain shopping...The calories are similar, 186 vs. 190, but look at the nutrients. The nuts pack a punch!

1 oz. walnuts

1.2 oz. potato chips

WTG on making it to the gym and you're food choices. That is awesome.

I'm with Kimberley. I don't look at it so much as money but whether or not I want to waste 220 calories on a small candy bar when I can find something way more filling for that range.

Also, sometimes it's best to not look at the whole picture when you are feeling overwhelmed or lack motivation. Sometimes it may mean tackling one small problem at that moment and then working your way up. I too have been struggling (but since before Easter). I finally told myself that this week I'm concentrating on getting below 2000 calories and try and get in some exercise and I have to journal. You know what? I've made it 2 days under 2000, journaled every day but I can't get in my exercise. I'm not beating myself up I'm just trying to get control of my eating. The other stuff will fall back into place.

I'm doing great!! I didn't get to the gym yesterday (work from 8-1 and school from 2-9:30pm) but I'm heading to the gym right after work tonight! I've been watching what I've been eating very well too!! I'm so proud of myself. This weekend will be the ultimate challenge. When I went to the gym on Wednesday I was easily exhausted and got horrible cramping (not sure why) when I increased my speed to 3.5 mph so I had to slow it down. I guess I just need to get into the mode of things. I'm just hoping the gym isn't too busy tonight! I hate waiting for equipment.

My hubby had McDonald's for lunch today and I had myself a nice egg salad sandwhich (on whole wheat), some chips and a small brownie and lots of water. My calories are low today.

Plus I got a package from a fellow 3FC member that really made my day. I'll make a new topic about that one
