Mine is when I walk in the door to my house. The girls want a snack and I'm faced with my house -- still in the middle of remodelling and re-organizing. Making a plan of attack before I leave work would be my best bet.

Second worst time is weekend -- the time isn't structured when we are home for the weekend or we're out of town at either his parents and mine and there's that lovely temptation to "not be different" by eating on plan, not eating the traditional comfort foods, or just plain giving in to emotional eating (lots of unresolved issues). Not sure what to do about that but this has been my main method of self-sabotage for the last six months or so.

after meals I sometimes crave sweets, that's a little tough.

in the evenings after my yogurt snack, usually when we're watching tv, I get cravings for a snack (crackers).

Otherwise, eating in restaurants isn't something I've fully conquered. I think I have the mindset that it's a *treat*, so I should get what sounds most delicious to me and not worry about the calories! I've gotten better, and I also am better at paying attention at those restaurant meals to when I'm full, so I can push away half a plate.

Marge - I'm with you. a sweet thing always follows a meal. I'm not sure where I got that instinct but it's there. I've been trying a great piece of fruit (something in season and super ripe) or some yogurt. SF pudding too.

Night is the worst. I tend to not eat dinner & think "Oh I'll eat later". Sometimes later was 10:30pm & that is far too late to eat. So I've been trying to eat at least something, even if it's just a bagel & some ff cottage cheese.

My worst time is evening. Between 8 - 11 PM. Snaking on junk....my absolute downfall.

Oh wow,.. any time afer the sun goes down. I think I am something like a food vampire who only comes out at night. Fortunately though, when I do snack, it is something like a lowfat granola bar, lowfat yogurt, apples, applesauce or raisins (oh my goodness, do I eat alot of raisins in the course of a week)

All of those things are lowfat and low sodium so I am good to go :-D
