Jessica - I did that my first year of teaching at my old school, and I got SO much s**t about it from my "principal." (In quotes because this person was a principal in name only.) This "prinicipal" kept accusing me of trying to "buy my students' cooperation." I caved and didn't do it my second year. (Of course, that was the year I had to resign in April because I was suicidal over the way I was being treated.)

Needless to say, I don't teach there anymore.

Jennelle, I'd like to say thank you for being a teacher. It's amazing how many great teachers my kids have had over the years when I know they are underpaid and underappreciated. You are doing a wonderful service for our children.

Yes, you are, Jennelle-

I've had at least 3 teachers who were keys in my "success" thus far. I still keep in contact with them and one was my 5th grade teacher, two were 8th grade teachers. Thank you very much, it's a tough job! -Apryl
