Default Chicago Get Together Room Information

Ok, so I spoke with my contact @ the Holiday Inn City Centre and here is what I found out.

I have blocked 15 rooms. We will have until May 25, 2004 to actually call and book the room. If you are sharing a room, 1 person will call and book the room with their credit card, but it will not be charged until you stay. Then when you check in, you can have 79.50 billed to each person's credit card, so we won't have to do the I'll pay you stuff. If you call and book the room, you must specify BOTH names that are staying in the room.

If you need to cancel, you can do so up until the night before at 4:00pm.

If you book and don't show, they will charge your credit card for 1 night plus tax.

Did I miss anything??

I will get you the number and stuff after I have signed the contract.

I have told her that we didn't need any meeting room space or food and beverage setup. Wouldn't you agree?

Great job Sandi! What would we do without you to make things less hassle-free for us; much appreciated.

I have to decide whether I'm flying, driving or taking the train. I'm kind of leaning towards the train so I can relax and enjoy the scenery, but I don't know if it would be more useful to have the car while I'm there. I imagine in any event I'll be arriving on Friday and going home Monday.

Hey Matt, there are worse things than being a token male

For anyone thinking of Driving, here is the Parking info.

Covered Parking is available to registered guests and is directly adjoining the hotel. The current parking fee is $22.00 for 24 hours, which includes in/out privileges - no vans or oversized vehicles. The parking facility is not operated or managed by the hotel. Space is available on a first come/first serve basis.

Hope this helps in making any decisions.

Dana, I'm thinking about taking the train from Milwaukee. Let me know if that's something you think you'd want to do.

I wanted to room w/Jennelle, not sure if she's still coming.

Chris & Holly, I can spend the whole weekend in Chi-town, not a problem.

If anyone is planning on staying Sunday night as well, please let me know. When I blocked the rooms, I made check-out on Sunday. If we take care of it now, I bet I can arrange to get our rate for Sunday night too, but I need to know how many are planning to do that.

Thanks!!
