Default It's nice to see ...

so many of my old friends still here and still working hard on their goals. I'm so ready to join ya'll but I won't be able to until after February. Yes, the Hill household is expecting another bundle of joy in February. So Lilly will be a big sis now. I will be finding out the sex of the baby on Oct. 28.

With this pregnancy I've already learned so much about my eating habits and lack of exercise. I've already been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. And, although my numbers were borderline where they'd like them, they went ahead and put me on insulin shots at first once a day and now I'm up to twice a day. I'm on a low carb eating plan now 30g carbs for breakfast, 15 for morning snack, 60 for lunch, 15 for snack, 60 for dinner, 45 for evening snack.
I'm supposed to be walking at least 4x a week for at least 20 min. but that is my one weakness still working full time and taking care of a household and 2 kids. My DH is home this week but is scheduled to go off on another pipelining job next week and so I'll be taking care of all of it by myself until he gets back home

As of now I no longer eat past 8 p.m. because I have to give myself the shot at 9 and I don't eat anything even after I have that shot. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be giving up those late night snacks, but I can tell a difference when I manage to stay within my carbs.

Do I think I'll be trying the low carb diet after this baby comes? No way. I do still love my carbs too much but I am learning my portion control now and learning to tell myself when I get full that it's okay to stop eating. I've even crushed up 3 cheese crackers because I could only have 3 and I didn't want to be tempted to eat them so I'm also learning it's okay to throw out food that I paid for.

I'll still be checking back in periodically through the rest of this pregnancy and see how my pals are doing and hopefully will be able to congratulate you on all your losses!!!!

Here's Lilly's 8 month pics. (My baby will be 9 mos. on the 27th and is already crawling everywhere!!)

And here are the pics My parents, Lilly, Christopher and I took for grandparents day.
