Make 2017 Your Goal Year! Challenge 7/8: Columbus Day to Thanksgiving Day
Hey all,
I had a tough time around Columbus day and earlier, so I was off the site for a very long time, and I apologize for not continuing the thread. Better late than never though and to those who kept tracking after Columbus Day, please transfer your progress to this thread and let's keep this going!!
Here is the seventh of eight challenges across the calendar for 2017.
Here is her explanation of the Challenge: SmallSteps: I’m wondering would anyone like to join me in a yearly challenge? Now, don't panic at the thoughts of going into this from January 1st to December 31st! For me, it would be near impossible to stay focused for a full year so I have decided to split the year into 8 challenges or 8 mini targets to reach. Each challenge represents a 6-8 week time during the year.
Challenge 1: New Years Day to Valentine’s Day (January 1st to February 14th) Challenge 1
Challenge 2: Valentine’s Day until April Fools Day (February 14th to April 1st) Challenge 2
Challenge 3: April Fools Day until Mother's Day (April 1st to May 14th) Challenge 3
Challenge 4: Mother's Day until Independence Day (May 14th to July 4th) Challenge 4
Challenge 5: Independence Day to Labor Day (July 4th to September 4th) Challenge 5 Challenge 6: Labor Day to Columbus Day (September 4th to October 9th)Challenge 6 Challenge 7: Columbus Day until Thanksgiving Day (October 9th to November 23rd) Challenge 8: Thanksgiving Day to New Years Eve (November 23rd to December 31st)
Weigh in days for challenges will be once a week.

Challenge Goal Weight:
Challenge End Weight:
I totally went off the rails in October. Putting my foot down and getting back on track now. My goal for this challenge is no cheat days til Thanksgiving. Everything in moderation and CONSISTENCY. Best of luck darlings!
I still have 3.2 lbs. of regain to lose before I am back to last months low weight. I am hoping that I can get there in the next 10 days.

This!!! October was a horrible month, the only month in 11 months that I not only didn't lose anything, but actually gained instead. I have a b-day party on Sunday and then Thanksgiving, but that is IT... if anything else pops up I will bring my own food.
Challenge Begin Weight: 184.4
Challenge Goal Weight: 175
Challenge End Weight:
Kfunk I hear that loud & clear. I should be well beyond my halfway point, Onederland goal, and fitness goals.... but am about 20lbs more than I should be, still stuck in the 200s and can't run 3 miles straight. Ouch. If I can say in 11 months that I've only had one really bad month, I'll be so impressed with myself! You're a champ
I was going to get a personal trainer as reward for Onederland and my halfway point BUT I'm starting at Planet Fitness this week in spite of my failed aspirations. (Thanks for the PF suggestion Laura!) This will erase any excuses for not running because of inclement weather, being too late, too dark or whatever nonsense I tell myself Also, a few friends have offered to join me, which NEVER happened when I talked about running, ha! I'll be to my goal soon enough, and will be rewarded just by being at the gym to celebrate it. Plus they have free donuts. Just sayin
11/1: no weigh in
11/5: 210.8

11/19:

Gulf Thank you!! That is an excellent idea to start up at the gym now instead of waiting, and even better, you will have friends to join you!! I constantly have to remind myself that this time is different, and I know it is because I haven't given up. I guess I didn't realize how long this would take, I figured a year - maybe year and a half... .well, I don't think it is gonna happen that fast!
Do you ever look at the chicks up for a challenge posts? It would be nice to see you over there
Kfunk I have wandered over to the Chicks Up For A Challenge area. I usually hover and snoop around until I get inspired to jump in...then I leave haha. I suppose I am not nearly as dedicated as I would like to think. Perhaps I'll wander over again
