Hi, I haven't posted for a while. I was doing well in March and was at 206lbs. I had a stomach bug and lost 6lbs in 3 days! I knew the weight would go back on when I started eating again, but when it did I got fed up and started eating more and more and avoiding the scales. I gave myself a talking to and got back on the scales on Thursday and it wasn't as bad as I expected at 207.2lbs. Down to 206.0lbs this morning but finding it hard not to pick at everything today. Sticking to snacking on fruit so far...

Glad you woke up this thread Nici :)

bookwyrm 04-23-2016 03:53 PM

Thanks for the welcome Nici. I love carbs as well, and cheese - not exactly the best things for weight loss :(. Though if I was one of the people who love salads and veg I probably wouldn't be the wrong side of wonderland :D. Hope you have a great weekend too.

Hello Fiery Cupcake, congrats you are doing so well. Prior to my lapse my loss was down to a lb (or less) per week so if that continues we should be hitting wonderland at around the same time :)

Bookwrym's new post caught my eye so I thought I'd chime in here to help keep this thread ALIVE!!

My mind is not set on weight loss just yet. I have 2-3 more weeks on an intensive project at work, and that's all I can manage. Unfortunately, my efforts at weight loss have been pretty much nonexistent for some time now, and I dread dread dread stepping on the scale :yikes:. Spring, with her sunshine, breezes, and cheerful birds, are luring me back into health and fitness land, though, and I can't wait to get back on a better schedule. I don't know why I let work and other things turn into roadblocks, but I do. After this, no more roadblocks for the rest of the year!

bookwyrm 04-24-2016 05:22 PM

205.8 (-0.2). Expect to have gained tomorrow because I had a high calorie/high carb dinner - the ingredients for which were bought on Wednesday before I got myself back into gear. As my daughter and her partner were invited, and knew what I planned to cook, I was stuck with it but I did limit (somewhat) my portion size.

I'm happy that I am concerned about this meal (if that makes sense) because a couple of week ago I was in the mindset of ignoring healthy eating :)
