Okay down a bit. 208.4 It gets frustrating you log, have very mindful eating and workout and sometimes you get very little results then Whoosh! Down 3 lbs overnight. My weight will drop then go back up a little for no apparent reason as if trying to reset but today I will relish in the fact I am at my thinnest in 8 years.

Woooohoooo!! equinechick61 that's great! :) I don't remember my body doing that last time I tried to lose weight but it seems to be doing the EXACT same thing this time around.

I am 212.5... slowly going down :D!

Well....it's going to be a struggle to catch up to you guys. I'm half-way through this decade. Won't it be nice when the decade threads are just 10lb? Hoping I can keep my sanity til then. 5 more lbs until I hit the Naughts!

You are almost to the single digits! I think the closer you get the more frustrating it can be!
Welcome back small steps!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Today 207.6.

Hi my friend! I'm back.

Hey! I see you posting around the forum now! Looks like you're off to a great start! Good to have you back, and glad to see things are improving for you. Step by step!

I am SOOO close to my first goal too! 211.6. Hoping for one last drop tomorrow :P to end the first month well. Hahaha :P

Right now I'm feeling pessimistic about weight loss 'cause things have crept along slowly, bouncing up and down, for the past few weeks, but it's Jan31...so time to reflect on the past month...

Started out in the 20s, which is an improvement over December. I thought I'd never get to leave the 20s, but now I'm solidly in the teens. I've lost 8-10 lbs this month, depending on how you count ('cause it's hard to know what to do with the bounces). This is not the lowest I've achieved since joining 3FC, but I have not seen these numbers since Aug 2014. I was in the throes of major health issues back then, though I did not fully realize it. My health is better now, and I'm losing weight! :carrot:. While I hate the thought of "just" maintaining, if I can do that now, it will be an improvement over 2015.

Looking ahead, I'm hoping to be in the Naughts by February's end--using lots of resources on this forum to help get there.

Truth is...I suspect I'll be majorly depressed if I do not continue to lose.....plus, the Dancing Carrots...ya know, they have families, and they need their paychecks...

SeeMyFeet I'm so sorry it has been a difficult month. It's really tough to keep going when you don't get that feedback from the scale. 8-10 lbs a month is actually a fantastic drop! I hope February, you see things moving a little bit more and you reach your goal! :) :) :)

SeeMyFeet 01-31-2016 05:32 PM

Oh, no, it's been a great month, weight-loss-wise! I have my hopes WAY up that things will continue this way, but from past experience, I fear they won't. Hmm..now that I've written down those thoughts, I realize I need a contingency plan if a big stall comes around. Hmm....weight lifting, maybe?

upandaway42 01-31-2016 05:41 PM

SeeMyFeet Weightlifting would be great! I'm planning on starting exercise this upcoming month and do weightlifting with high reps. If I wanted to build muscle, I'd do heavy weights, low reps. This is what my husband is doing, and he's eating 2500+ calories a day for strength/muscle gains. But I just want to maintain what I have, I haven't exercised in a long time, and I want to get fat loss going, so I'm going to do 3-4 sets of 12-15 reps because that would be better for my goals. That sort of weight training is supposed to create a good hormonal response and get fat loss going.

DayDreamer26 01-31-2016 07:11 PM

SeeMyFeet, when the scale doesn't move I feel like trowing it out the window. :) But, I try to remind myself that if I keep going it will move. I find the hardest part of weight loss journey is when weight loss starts to slow down. You get so "used" and excited during the first 1-2 weeks when you are DROPPING pounds like crazy. Then you find yourself questioning why only 1 lbs this week? Only to realize that at some point you knew it is exactly that way that this works.
If you keep doing things right, it's bound to get you where you want to be.

BAILYBOO, welcome!! :D

Scale still stuck, actually moving up. I keep track on MFP, and I know I had a salt spike on Sat. Trying not to hold my breath. Exercising and feeling good, so I'll try to focus more on that.

upandaway42 02-01-2016 08:29 PM

Today I'm at 210.0 (up 2.9 lbs overnight). Intense cravings. I want to eat eat eat. I'm feeling bloated. Probably ovulation. I don't think I felt this intensely when I had my period a couple weeks ago. Hopefully it will pass soon!
