Hi all, yesterday was a good day. I did have two small pieces of chocolate, but that's okay. I came home and baked 4 chicken breasts, made some zucchini, yellow squash, and onion sauted in olive oil, and some wild rice blend for dinner. Now, I have more chicken to cut up for salads for lunch the rest of the week.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Good job! It's so hard to have stuff like that around.

I love to have chicken cooked up ahead of time. It's so good for putting in salads or making a quick meal.

It's been hard for me that past couple weeks too!

A friend at church is going to do the induction phase of Atkins to jump start his weight loss. I told him I would do it with him. I'm not a big fan of the low carb craze but I know it works to take weight off. So for the next month I am going to follow it and hopefully get this Holiday weight off. Then it will be back to calorie counting and following my DASH plan. I will still calorie count while doing the low carb too. He said the last time he stayed in phase one he lost a pound a day. So for one month I will do it.

Howie- what a great idea to help your friend and lose weight for yourself too.

Goddess- your dinner sounds delish. Good plan for yummy lunches too!

OK people, steel yourselves...... it's girl scout cookie time and those cute little ladies are in front on stores and on street corners everywhere!!

It's poison I tell you, poison they're peddling. Keep moving and don't make eye contact with those thin mints.

Whatever you do don't let those tag-alongs do what they do best-tag along. Beccause if you do they will be tagging along on your waist and thighs for days to come.
haha

Have a great day everyone!

Here we are facing another weekend. It is cold (for the deep South) with rain expected tomorrow.
The grandchildren are coming so I plan to walk the mall tomorrow while they are on the carrousel with Pappy.

Are we still doing Howie's weekend challenge to check in? It has been so quiet here I hope everyone is okay.

Thanks,
~Molly

I'm up 1.5 today, and I don't know why. I certainly haven't done anything to warrant that, but I'll see what tomorrow brings. I did cancel my dinner out plans tonight though, and I won't be having lunch out, which is my Friday ritual. One of my lunch buddies is working at a different location this week, and the other is busy and wants to leave early today. They are calling for snowmageddon this weekend. LOL I hope everyone had a better week than me scalewise.

Well I am down 7 this week. Only two days of that was low carb so it was just my normal calorie counting and water drinking that did that. My friend has already went off the wagon. LOL So I'm just back to DASH, I'm not going to torture my self for no reason. DASH is an acronym for the National Blood, Lung and Heart Institues diet plan. It's a lot like if not identical to the American Heart diet which is how I have always lost weight. They just made a nice booklet and gave it a neat name. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. You can check the PDF out here. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/reso...hbp-dash-index

hi, So my new goal was to lose 24 pounds by easter.. until I figured out easter wasn't at the end of the month oops... so now my goal is 12 pounds. The last time I saw my in laws I lost 50... and so I was wanting to lose another even 50 by the time I saw them again (easter).. but not quite realistic. I think 12 is doable in 6 weeks though (hopefully).

So... today my butt officially dropped I'm kind of bummed about it. Somewhere in my head I thought my skin would be ok... I'm "different" maybe... well after 75 pounds gone I accidentally looked in the mirror and my lovely tight round butt I've always had has literally DROPPED. now i'm not a butt person. it's not something I have ever complimented myself on before... until today I saw it hanging in an upside down heart and wrinkled. Now I miss my butt. Things are also sagging that I hadn't thought of before and won't mention ever... lol.. I am definately smaller and I won't be able to get surgery... but... but... I won't think about it too much I hope. Lots of baggy clothes. Health is what I'm after anyway.. not being pretty. it was just a bit of a shocker. I'd have thought my thighs... arms.. nope butt went first.. :/

Second goal... 23 pounds until I am in the obese and not severely obese category! go me!

Not really weight related but I need to vent... I really wanted to have a baby before I turned 39. But I'm infertile. I was terrified to call the IVF dr for an appointment and learned he only does it 6 times a year and there was already a group full. I had thought now.. well before 40. Well the way he has it set up .. the transfer won't be for 5 MONTHS.. which would put me over 40 at birth IF it worked the first time. When did I get so old? Why didn't I try harder, earlier? Can I keep this up? Am I too old to give birth.. people always say it's sooo hard and to not do it.. but I can't afford a surrogate by any means. As it is this all depends if some kind idiot will give me a huge loan. However, it also means I can work on my weight and a lower weight will make it easier and lower my c-reactive protein which may lead to a healthier baby. You see my first baby was born MR and I can't help feeling it was my fault for being fat and having autoimmune disorders. I am 25 pounds lighter than when I had baby 1... but I doubt that little will help.

I'm just super stressed right now. Thanks for letting me vent here
