Ooh just a quick check in scales were nice this morning 235 (-2.2)! So 2 days in a row I can count that right!

Diane yes lots to look forward to this year I also have one of my best friends getting married in October so nicely placed to keep me on track over winter. Your hubby sounds like a keeper! as a wife and a mum its so hard to put ourselves first for a change, but it doesn't make it wrong! I've made looking after myself a priority this year (okay its the kids then me lol)

Gammy toe and shoulder Wordy you're falling to bits! Lol vent away by all means. 7.2 pounds whoop whoop who cares if its water

Spin class this morning. Another tough one, as usual. But I was feeling a little sore from yesterday's pump class, so I was glad to be able to work it out some. Running tonight. Looks to be pretty windy today, so that might be a little challenging.

Wordy: Losing track of time on the mean machine! You are rocking it! That must feel pretty good!

MissLoud: Congrats on the loss!! Always good to see that.

Skinnygirldreams 04-01-2015 01:23 PM

Hey ladies, Sounds like you all were doing great this weekend! I'm hanging in there. I did go on a long walk with my hubby on Sunday. We walked from our house to the downtown area of our town and back. It was about a 3-4 mile walk.
I made pork carnitas and a black bean, avacado, cucumber, tomato salad ... mmmmhmmmmmm. Brought left overs for today!
I'm going to make myself take 10,000 steps minimum today.

Hey everyone!

Had my 2nd OB appointment yesterday.

Doctor was all "why you gain so much weight?!?!" and I was like "4 pounds from last time to this time is easily explained by the fact that I've actually eaten today, twice, and had a very full bladder so I could pee in the cup. Also, I'm wearing a sweater."

She seemed okay with this. My scale at home has been fluxing between 300 and 302 ever since the initial bloat of pregnancy hit me, so I think I'm doing well.

Also, she was happy to see that my blood pressure had come down, because at the last appointment I was really anxious and it was really high. So she had me monitor it at home and bring in the info for her. She is no longer worried about high blood pressure being an issue.

Blood work from the last visit all came back normal, so nothing to be worried about there.

And since she couldn't find the baby's heartbeat with the doppler this time, she did another quick ultrasound.

She wheeled the portable in, and put the gel on my tummy, moved the wand around a little bit... frowned... moved it again... frowned... and I was like "why are you frowning?! I don't like frowns..." She said "here I'll show you" and turned the machine around so I could see the screen.

"Your baby will not stay still. He or she is a wiggle worm and keeps moving out of view!" I saw the little arms waving about and she found the heartbeat (finally) and said everything looks great.

I go back in 4 weeks for my 1st glucose test (they do 2 for women with PCOS because it can make women prone to insulin issues)... and some prental screening if I want it, blood work to check for genetic markers of something wrong with baby. We'll be doing some research this week to see if the insurance will cover it.

All in all, it was a good visit, and seeing my baby wiggling around was absolutely wonderful!

Hi all. Went to Body Pump this morning. It was quite the workout. I was behind someone else today and she was driving me crazy. She kept putting on really heavy weights and then couldn't lift correctly. Then she'd grunt and push air out (picture a really loud "shhh"). So... I'll have to move if she's there again. It was way too distracting. Oh well. Running was ok last night, but it was really windy. Heading out was fine, but coming back was against the wind, so a little tougher. Saw some quail, a couple of herons, some geese and ducks, so that was fun. I did get on the scale this morning and it looked pretty promising for a good weigh in on Monday, if I can hold on to it! It was the lowest number I've seen since before I had kids. I'm trying to be much better with food, and so far this week, I've been doing better.

Mandy: Glad you are doing well. You're almost to your big announcement day!! So cool. You mention the glucose test and it makes me want to gag. I had to do that twice because they were sure I was going to have problems. I didn't, but still had to do the test. I had so much trouble with nausea all the time, that doing the test was torture. I'm sure you'll do fine!!

Wordy: Nice work on the cardio!! That's really cool. Hope you have a great time traveling, too. You can always get back on track when you get back home.

SkinnyGirl: Your pork carnitas sound really good! Now I'm hungry!! Good job on getting in a long walk!!

MissLoud 04-02-2015 04:25 PM

Erg I ate a whole bag of chips :( and a creme egg *sigh*, husband is away for a couple of night for the roar and I just got the munchies! Have lots of visiting to do this holidays so need to reel it in or there will be a gain come Monday. So much for being one month on plan, 3 day and I fall off the wagon!! But uts all about getting back on ah?!

Wow Mandy bringing back memories for me! I can't believe you have to rely on insurance for what is normal healthcare! Crazy. Over here you get it all free, you don't generally see and OB unless you need specialist care, you go under the care of a midwife (I only saw one briefly for my second because of my previous CSection) oh yes the glucose test! I found a nice testing empathetic lady who knew to give pregnant woman the plain stuff and had it nice and chilled so it only tasted like sickly lemonade - the joys of pregnancy ah!! Have fun shouting to the world!!

Diane you are a machine!! Good work on the food too

Wordy good luck on travel eating, I'm a big fail at that!!

Right I need to go make lunch for my friend who is over from Oz.

Skinnygirldreams 04-03-2015 01:06 PM

Hello Ladies,
Mandy- sounds fantastic! good luck on your glucose test. :)

Slash- You are just such an inspiration. I hope you enjoy your next class, maybe that lady will either A. move or B. realize that she was trying to lift to much. Do you think she just wanted to try and show off?

MissLoud- Good luck jumping back on Plan!

Wordy- Congats on re-joining your 20s!

Nothing to exciting here. Ive just been trying to keep my feet moving. My sister-in-law is in town today through monday or tuesday, so that's exciting. We are going out to dinner with her and my MIL. Italian.... womp..womp. I'm going to try and do something seafood instead of pasta... not a ton of choices since it is good friday so no meat.

Slashnl 04-03-2015 01:11 PM

Hiya! Went to spin this morning. It was pretty good. This particular instructor normally gives us the last minute of the class to do whatever we want as far as higher speed, higher resistance, in the seat, out of the seat... whatever you like. I usually take that time to take the resistance down slightly and go super fast. It gets my heart rate up like no other, so I think it is fun. Well, today, he gave us the last 2 minutes. Oops. Peaked way too early. I was ready to stop when he said one more minute. But I kept going. I thought I died, but I guess not.

It looks like our windy days are over, so I'll be a little happier with running tonight. I'm really fighting the hungries today, though. I'll have to stay disciplined....

Wordy: Congrats on the 229!! That's great news!

MissLoud: Don't stress about the chips and egg. It happens. You can do better today!

MissLoud 04-03-2015 03:20 PM

Eek more chocolate! !!! I'm not normally even a sweet tooth.

Doing my fasting day today, it tends to give me a bit of a reset. Darn this premenstrual and Easter not a good combo, also think I was getting a bit cockey because of loosing so much lately determined to not see a gain this week!. Off to McDonalds with the kids and some friends this morning which will be fine, will just have a coffee - not a huge fan of mcds so that helps.

Sorry just a quick rant ;)

Nagazim 04-04-2015 12:36 PM

Hi ladies

I've been around, sorta. When there's drama afoot I tend to forget the internet for awhile. :( So I didn't stick to my daily posts goal as of Last week, but I'm going to really try it for the next 30 days. A group of friends and I are starting a Whole30 stint on Monday (isn't it always Monday?!) I've never actually done one but hope to really break my sugar addiction and lose some pounds :) I'll catch up more later. Just wanted to say hi :)

Skinnygirldreams 04-04-2015 05:33 PM

OH... MY.... GOD... I had food HEAVEN last night! lol It probably wasn't the healthiest (ok, I know it wasn't) but dang it... it was good! I ordered lobster ravioli. mmmmmmmmmmm. lol
Anyways ... other than my food being fantastic, I had a good time with my in-laws... without my husband. lol Poor guy, he is sick.

I haven't done too much today, I need to get my butt in gear. I cleaned a little, and then spent the morning knitting (i'm an old soul) lol. Now I am at work. only 4 hours though and trying to multitask and get homework done now too. lol I think I'll take my dogs for a walk when I get home. :) Happy Easter everyone!

Slashnl 04-04-2015 08:10 PM

Hi all. Went running last night, it was pretty good. I went a little faster, because I got a little farther with the same amount of time. That's what I want to do now, to try to get a little faster. Went to Body Pump and then Body Flow this morning, so now I'm done until Monday.

Going to be tough to pass on Easter treats. I'm sure I'll have some, but hope to stay somewhat strong.

MissLoud: Chocolate. So good, but so bad!! Ha!

Wordy: Look at you and your workouts!!! Nice! Glad you got it in before you hit the road.

Nagazim: Good to see you again!! Glad you're back posting.

SkinnyGirl: That sounds really good. Lobster ravioli. Yum!!

LaurieDawn 04-06-2015 09:55 AM

I have quickly skimmed the last few posts, but I am not going to do personals. I will just try to stay caught up rather than get caught up.

Some anxiety-producing personal things going on in my life. Also, my clothes are not fitting well. Back on track. I am also signed up for a 5K in two weeks, and I have not done much running lately. That will change as of today.

Hope everyone is well. I've missed y'all. I am in my permanent office, so no one is monitoring my computer screen all day. (It wasn't like it was her job to monitor it, nor that she cared -- but I was always aware that it was on screen if she ever turned around to look.) I shall be here on a daily basis again. I look forward to it.

Slashnl 04-06-2015 12:47 PM

Laurie: Glad you are back! I've missed you. I have 3 weeks before the 5K race I was planning on doing. I hope to be ready to go by then. :)

My weekend was good, but I wasn't disciplined at all. Back on track today.

Skinnygirldreams 04-06-2015 03:27 PM

So yesterday my Husband's family made lasagna for easter. I just had a little serving, with some salad, and a piece of bruchetta. I did pretty well. Since my husband and I actually walked over to his aunt's for the holiday lunch. She lives maybe a mile from us each way. It was nice and I loved the walk. I work today 7a-7p, I'm just trying to make sure i'm on my feet a lot even thought I am a secretary. I can generally make it so I get 7-10k steps a day at work. so here goes ... as of right now I am at 6,475k
Hope everyone is doing good!

P.S. Laurie good to see you on here again!
