I think you guys were right about both. I got in cardio instead of strength yesterday and got more sleep, and the scale started moving again today. I think I might focus more on cardio burning first, just to get some initial weight off during March and then just suck it up and deal with muscle building and water retention for a month or so and see what it does to my inches instead of the scale. We'll see.
I started at 205
My short-term goal is 150, long-term is 105
i will put a smiley next to each achieved weight.

Angihas, I put current weight before my goal weight instead of after. That's the way people have been posting daily updates in another challenge I'm in, so I find it easier just to keep the format the same.
Ok, after last month's plateau at 201, I started coming down, to 197, back up to 199 with TOM, and have just ordered the 30 Day Shred, which should arrive by the time I feel better. Hopefully see a whoosh after this week too, but I'm not holding my breath!
I'm partially prepared for the scale not to move this month because of the exercise I'll be doing, I've heard that happens. To offset any potential disappointment I've taken all my measurements and I'll go from there. As long as SOME numbers go down, I'm happy!
Still want to see 185 though, I won't lie. Even though it's extremely unlikely

you can do it! i was 205 just a few months ago, and i weighed in yesterday at 186.5! granted, i haven't been dieting PROPERLY the whole time, but i am now and i'm gettinig results. just stick with it
01:323.5
02:323.0
03: (never made it to the scale)
04:325.2 (blame the tequila and the subway)
05:322.1 (thank you blizzard for making me shovel all day!
I'm surprised I burnt that water weight off so quickly as I was ravenous yesterday. But I also ran my butt of so I suppose that helps.
Hooray. I'm heading in the right direction again. I'm hoping for 2Teens again tomorrow and then to solidly settle in next week. I'd like that very much! TOM should be ending soon.
I have an official WI today. I don't really like my Tuesday weigh-ins. I weigh in after working out- drinking a lot of water and eating breakfast. -_-
Do you know how much water weighs?
A pint is a pound...two cups of water, 16 ounces. So it makes my Tuesday WI totally ridiculous.
Weigh-in was back up to 273.4 this morning, so I'm feeling a little bummed. If anything, I ate too little yesterday, so I'm hoping it's just a random fluctuation. We shall see tomorrow! The one pitfall to daily weighing is having to be witness to these frustrating ups and downs, even if the overall trend is downward. Going to go walking today...hoping that will not only burn some calories, but also help clear my head.
Opheliaphoenix, I completely agree. For me the benefit of weighing every day is that it keeps me on-plan every day -- otherwise I'd have a tendency to cheat at the start of the week then over-compensate at the end.
The downside is definitely those random fluctuations. It's disheartening to work hard and do everything right but still see the scales move the wrong direction.
