Hey SmallSteps, don't get discouraged! Every day is a new opportunity to reach your goals.
Feel like I am getting a little bit back on track this week after having the stomach flu on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. I've been terrible about doing my situps/pushups. Going to start the program over again tomorrow.
5/16 Ran 2.5 miles, walked 3.5 miles
5/17 Walked 3.5 miles
5/18 Ran 2.5 miles, walked 3 miles
5/19 slept in
5/20 Ran/walked/hiked 7.15 miles
It's been easy to keep up on the walking at least, because my dog needs to be walked every day. I really liked the route I did today. I walked to the nature preserve, then hiked through it, then ran some of the way home. The dog was too hot, so I walked the last 1.5 miles or so. Will probably do this route again.
I love this thread! I'm on a serious walking kick and friends have been so nice in joining in with me that I have someone to walk with almost every day of the week.
We found a beautiful street to walk down in our area, so we go 6 miles each time. Yesterday we were so busy talking that we walked further and ended up going 8 miles. It was so doable, though I was so through by the end. We do that two days a week and a 4 mile mountain hike every Friday. Been doing this for 3 weeks now and it feels great!
I'll try to log in more often and report my exercise.
Got heckled yesterday with fat-phobic insults while running. It just made me mad and made me run harder.
Started up with situps and pushups again this week.
5/21 200 situps workout week 1, ran 4 miles
5/22 100 pushups workout week 1, ran 4 miles, walked 3 miles
5/23 ran 6.5 miles
5/24 ran/walked 6.5 miles -- a friend called me mid-workout and I talked through the whole middle section while walking. 200 situps/100 pushups week 1
It's not hard for me to work out this much. I like it and most of it gets done in the very early morning. But I hope that I start to see some more steady improvements in fitness/weight loss to keep motivated.
