Lin, I just took your 1% plan and dropped into a spreadsheet and I LOVE it!

This puts everything into perspective for me.

If I follow this plan, I will hit my goal weight Jan 1. That couldn't have worked out more perfect. lol

I'm glad you like my weekly self challenge, Cathi. I realize we all have our own way to do this, and for me it had to be something I could see in very short periods of time. And, I wanted to know how long it would take. I know that isn't always possible, but I do believe that many of us can lose 1% per week pretty consistently with some determination. For me, setting a mini goal of losing a small number of pounds wasn't as effective since it had no time frame. I needed the added push of an "end date" to keep me on plan. And one week was certainly doable. Hope it works for you. Keep us posted!
