Wow!! Everyone's NSV's are so INSPIRING! Like I was smiling from ear to ear reading them!!!
AND BAKER23... You do look AWESOME!!!!!
Congrats on everyone's weight loss.
I don't have a NSV yet or I haven't even thought about it much. Nothing that I would say that I'm proud of. I have been eatting a lot less, but if anything, I THANK GOD because OMG..... I use to stuff my face like a lil piggy ::here lil piggy, piggy, piggy:: :: I'll have something to report one day once I make myself go to the gym (very unmotivated person here).
But once again, congrats on the weight loss and NSV's everyone. And good luck on your journeys!
Very Small 3FC accomplishment (for me) I just hit 20 posts now to wait for the 20 day mark so that I can have a signature plus ticker.
Ohhhhh yeaaaa.... That is a goal of mine as well. I'm almost there. I have one ore post to go after I post this one. But I'm waiting for the 20 day mark as well. I can't wait to utilize the ticker!
I have another accomplishment today I started exercising a little bit, I just did 30 mins on the Wii Fit Plus game. (Start small and keep going)

But yaaaay for you!!!!
Alright! I know it seems small to everyone else but for a newbie it is kind of a big deal. First hump now on to the next.
I'm at the 22 day mark and have 80 something posts and still no access to the signature option yet. I hope someone flips the little switch to make that happen this weekend. That would be nice!
I do have an NSV to share though. Yesterday I wore a pair of pants to work that used to be so tight that they were hard to button. But yesterday they buttoned just fine. Yay! They are size 20 and used to be super tight. Now they fit fine again. It's progress!
So this is kind of an off the wall victory but for me it's a really big one.
I have been on a fairly strict regimen for exactly 30 days meaning NO cheating in any way, no drinking of ANYTHING but water and 1 cup hot tea per day. (milk for cereal is acceptable but like 1/4 cup.) My husband and I decided to take a night off to celebrate and when we went out to dinner all the things I thought I was gonna miss and could not live without before didn't taste that great. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed them but they weren't like I remembered them.
What does this mean?????
It means that I'm not really depriving myself!!!!! It means that this is not as bad as I thought it was. It means that I am not dreading being back on plan! It means I/We can do this!!!!
I ate before I left. I exercised. I food logged and I had 500 calories to "spend" at the party.
I stuck to the raw veggies and ranch dip, some crackers with a little artichoke dip, and then had 3 small cookies, and then after that I stuck to the watermelon I brought. I ignore the cake, candies, sodas, wine, beer, etc. and stuck to water.
Had a nice time, came home and food logged it all and I was still on strack.
Whew! Social eating situation navigated successfully!
I went out with my husband for our V-Day lunch/dinner, (the $20 for 2 deal at Chili's) we ordered a small amount of bacon cheese fries (as appetizers, my biggest weakness) I only ate a little of it, then I made myself stop my husband had the rest, I also had a hamburger and fries with a coke (coke is my all time weakness). I only ate half of the burger, barely any of the fries, the coke though I did drink one and a half glasses (which for me is a big accomplishment in itself, plus I did not ask for a to go coke I'm starting to break the easier habits) and brought the rest home for eating. After dinner we headed over to Gamestop where I bought two games, though I just returned one of them because I didn't like it (so it probably would have sat on the game shelf if I didn't go ahead and return it) but the one I did keep was Just Dance 3. The game is pretty fun and it has an exercise deal called Just Sweat on it so that was a bigger plus (Yes, it did do what it said for me I did sweat and was having fun so I didn't realize I was exercising ). I came home and did 30 mins on it but I may get on the Wii Fit Plus as well later (we shall see).
My NSV for today is... I'm not eating as much as I usually would. It is the time around when my monthly visitor would come, and previously.. I would eat anything and everything that I see. And even though, there is a slight increase on food intake, it hasn't been substantial to the point where it has effected my weight. I wake up every morning weighing around the same... Usually, my weight would increase to 5-7lbs. SO YAY me... When it has come and gone, hopefully I'll feel a difference and see a difference as well
Yesterday I had my first nsv in a while. I needed some lightweight hiking pants for a trip I'm going on, and most of what I found was in the $70 to $80 range. But then I found some on a website on sale for $38, but the biggest size they had was a 22. I've been wearing a 24 for a while, and while most of my pants are too big, a few pairs fit perfect. So I was hesitant to order a 22, and the size chart said they fit 51 inch hips, and mine are 55. I ordered them anyway and hoped they would fit by the time I leave. Well they came in the mail, and to my delight, they fit! I was so excited, because I really didn't want the pressure of having to lose those 4 inches in time for the trip.
I am wearing a blouse today that I haven't been able to wear in 4 years! I am so happy because that means I have more choices opening up in my closet!!!
I love this thread! It is so important to recognize all the victories in every part of our lives that come from changing size...not just focus on "the numbers." My happy NSV is that my underwear are HUGE & loose! Also, I visited my SIL this weekend and I used to hate sitting at her kitchen table because the chair arms squeezed my hips - not anymore!
