Today I am grateful for
+ sunshine on the longest day of the year
+ fun lunch yesterday with friends and a new friend from Holland
+ some one on one time with Joanne while the dogs played
+ was able to assemble my new weed whip and use it - works fine!
+ finally connected and had a good chat with Margo
+ Liz can use the stove that is in my barn to replace her old clunker
+ Moel is going to cut down some rogue trees for me later this morning
+ weekend water weight is slowly draining away

- a healthy day yesterday... I am very grateful.

- soon I'll get to see my friend, Paula

- a really fun afternoon at Sally's yesterday

- our wonderful little neighbors had to tell me about their trip to Disney World. So joyous.

- family, friends, you all, fb, internet, cell phone, music & faith

- rain for the flowers

- hot water heater

+ weekend water weight is gone
+ remembered to make the rum cake last night for today's luncheon
+ Disney's ear cut is healing well
+ I have a lovely basket of strawberries to make into sf jam later today
+ the sundrops make a lovely splash of yellow in the messy back border
+ time to quilt a bit this morning
+ Donna did come yesterday and my house is sparkling

DH is exicted about playing lots of golf this weekend

nothing hurts for the moment

GS took a city bus ride with his other Grandma. What a wonderful adventure.

I have been away for awhile and missed you all! I am still struggling but I have not given up.

Today I am grateful for:

* I was in control yesterday
* Work is calming down
* My precious grandchildren

- I cut my hand and thought I would need stitches - but didn't - my neighbor put on some butterfly bandaids. However. I am having trouble typing -hunt and peck with one and half hands

- neighborhood cats been chasing away some bunnies

+ managed to avoid all temptations at luncheon yesterday
+ felt great in my red crinkle cotton suit that now fits properly
+ made sf strawberry jam - very quickly!
+ insisted my hostess keep the remains of my decadent rum cake
+ the fields are all spangled with daisies, buttercups and purple clover - lovely drive
+ my ticker is down this morning
+ worked out the colours and part of the design for the bathroom window shade - think ocean!
+ baby raccoons are just adorable but I know they grow up into masked bandits. (I overcame the impulse to adopt two orphans yesterday and took them to the shelter. I guess that was a mature decision.)

Glad to be back on this thread! One never gets tired of reading positive and uplifting things.

Grateful for:
-my wonderful father, I lost him in 1996, but everyday and especially Father's Day, it seems like yesterday I have my memories but I wish I had him.:hug::hug:

-beautiful lilac impatiens, bought some today and they were 1/2 off!

+ resolved the anomaly in the Mill account with the bank yesterday
+ bought bargain pre-started veggie plants when in town
+ resisted the Chinese buffet while in town
+ Church bulletin printed without the usual problems
+ sleep! From nine last night to six this morning - I am grateful

*Overton's for delivering my son's Straight A's Reward w/i 24 hrs: a wakeboard!
* 3 strong football players to help me paint
* Strong legs that enabled me to walk 2 miles today
* new clothes to match my new bod -- feelin' pretty again!

+ finished that darned quilt - now to bind and deliver
+ finally had a real discussion about costing with the Mill curator
+ sorted out another bag of "too big" clothes for Goodwill
+ remembered I need to bake yet another rum cake for tomorrow's dinner party
+ very little appetite - and that's a good thing!
+ happy and cuddly dogs
+ pleasant time yesterday delivering tags to the schools

- the results are in from the culture...we have to change the antibiotic - glad to be on something that will get rid of the blotches/red bumps

- went to lunch with mom yesterday - we love Bob Evans Resetaurant.
