+ Jazz makes me smile when he wrestles his stuffed bunny but my dogs make me smile a lot
+ Bob wrestled those very heavy half barrels out of my car trunk and will paint them for me
+ the quiet fan in a hot bedroom making sleep easy last night
+ cold water from the garden well on a very hot and humid day

A body that works and moves even if it's more body than I'd like to have. (Watching my son struggle through physical therapy makes me so grateful for my mobility.)

+ received a large grant cheque for the Mill
+ Paul H. volunteered to help me this afternoon - a man with a machine!
+ have the buttons half replaced on the dress for the wedding
+ a bouquet of lovely purple and white iris on my desk this morning
+ fresh greens and asparagus from the garden

The smell of summer and the warmth of the air!

* Air conditioning (It got up to 98 degrees yesterday, 102 with heat index)

-my brother , Donny, who fixed my muffler, cleaned my air conditioner(works great), and fixed my mower:hug::hug:
-my dogs, Brownie and Blackie their unconditional love is a godsend.

+ One more calendar month behind us until my husband comes home
+ A fantastically relaxing shower
+ Really good friends who are here to support me anytime I need it

+ my good dogs who stayed in the house yesterday morning although the wind blew open the door onto the road!
+ Paul and Eric who helped me with the heavy stuff yesterday
+ Sierra who wants to come over to show me her new teeth - I paid for her ortho and she is a changed girl
+ weight is heading downward again
+ I'm cautiously optimistic that I've solved Jazz's piddling problem :crossed:
+ Donna comes to clean today - I love a spiffed up house
+ managed the Mill payroll without any problems with the new system
+ at 72, I'm healthy, active and enthused with no major health issues - I am grateful

- Leighanne came over again and we puttered in the gardens

- my laptop is broken... but, I have my desk top computer to use. (not so comfy, however)

- I get great happiness from my pots of different sedum on the deck

- grateful that all I needed to fix my laptop computer was a power cord. And, Murray had an extra one...so, we didn't need to go out and buy one. (happy)(happy)

- DS is stoked. He is playing in a golf tournament raising money for Breast Cancer Research today. It's in honor of a friend who has beat breast cancer. The very best part is that his 'foursome' consists of friends from his high school varsity golf team. (they were the area champs in 1998) DS hasn't seen these men for ten years or so.

- my garden is looking so pretty. I got some neat containers for my sedum

- my neighborhood children - it's like being with a laugh machine

- our nice front porch to sit on.

+ woke up on the right side of the grass ;)
+ early to bed and a good night's sleep
+ weight is moving the right way again
+ white and almost black iris are stunning in the front garden
+ my neighbour's two young cats have started visiting me when I garden
+ Julie passed her driver's test - I'm glad I was able to help her out with my car
+ buying a replacement power-washer today so I'll have a cool job to do on the next scorcher

* DH got up early with me to get the yard clean. Summer is definitely here in South Carolina
* I was able to solve a problem and now I can work remotely this weekend
* There is a flip side to working extra hours this week. I will get to add the hours to the 4th of July and have a very long weekend.
* This has been a good week food-wise
* Family, friends, indoor plumbing, 3FC, Cell phones and Internet

+ felt I really made good use of my time yesterday
+ finally called Morna and told her why I cannot take that poor dog - I'm sad but know I made the right decision for many reasons
+ bought more plants - strawberry plants, a mauve clematis and a painted fern
+ got more done on the quilt - more today
+ bought a homemade pie at a bake sale so no need to bake dessert for tonight's dinner party

- DH... he worked on things all day. He power washed the deck and outside furniture and the house, too. Men and their toys.....(happy)

- sunny morning, birdies chirping, coffee, ... a happy Sunday morning

- DS's golf team won the tournament - the his High School (foursome) team of 1998 still has the 'right stuff'.

- music videos... like mini musicals... love 'em (some I don't love..but, have the channel changer for that.)

- automatic coffee pot.

+ audit has been delayed a week or so - whew! although I do have everything ready
+ my "lad" has now finished painting the new village planters

+ machine quilting is going well now that I've mastered the fancy stitch

- see another birds nest. We must have nine now in the yard. I saw the heron fly overhead twice yesterday. It's my favorite bird

-saw a raccoon at my brothers, in the evening, he put his paws in some water my brother had for the birds and he took a drink. He has been eating my brother's suet cakes at night. He looked like a little robber with his bandit face. Sooo cute!

+ my friends are super supportive - three guys did three jobs for me yesterday

+ the dogs were delightful at pet therapy at the Clinic yesterday - what angels!

+ my perennial garden which is at its peak right now
+ finally bought size 14 pants yesterday and they fit! Too long, of course.

- a lovely baby shower at my cousin's house. I did not have any cake or cookies. Grateful for that.

- my little neighbor came over with her 4H project. She made a veggie tray and dip and explained all the veggies and how she made the dip. So sweet.

- dh did a ton of weeding. We are working on the darn honeysuckle
