That is so great! Thank you for sharing. I am surprised to hear that Marci can maintain on 1600 calories. I bet she is still working out pretty hard.

Thanks for sharing! Courtney is definitely an inspiration. Can't wait to see her @ the finale. Rooting for her and Jen all the way. It is so awesome that they are paying it forward with what they have learned and experienced on TBL Ranch.

@ time2lose. Marci said that she currently works out 90 mins a day, 6 days a week. She says she always takes a rest day. The 90 mins breaks out into 30 min high intensity cardio, 30 min strength and 30 min cardio.

Wow, isn't that a lot just to maintain? Just curious.

I don't think it's that far off.

I am more surprised that she can eat 1600 calories a day than I am that she exercises 90 minutes. I still have a long way to go and I can't lose on 1600 calories.

See now I would think between 1600 calories and exercising that much that is overkill. If she enjoy it than that's wonderful (I'm NOT saying she should stop)! But I've been at a healthy weight for a good chunk of my life and I know I was eating a lot more than 1600 and was maintaining my weight (at the time I was exercising 5-6x a week 90 min each but was eating horribly). My problem was when I stopped exercising that much, because of that I can relate a lot to how Roulon gained his weight...

Granted, I was a lot younger but I've been losing working out a lot less than 6x a week 90 min each and eating more than 1600 calories a day too (at least from the few times I bothered checking my calories). I'm definitely no speedster when it comes to weight loss but it's certainly coming off. Then again it might be the types of workouts I'm doing and the types of foods I choose to eat... so maybe that answers my own question? Probably a big chunk of it can be chalked up to metabolism too.

That just proves how different bodies are. With no exercise, I lose over tp pounds a week on 1600 calories right now

What a great experience, Sandi!

Ooh, how fun and exciting it must have been to meet everyone! I'm curious as to how Courtney looks right now but understand why you can't post. I sure wish they'd visit my neck of the woods too!

I enjoyed reading the OP's post and seeing how great Marci looks.
But, I have to admit I am shocked at the amount of calories she eats in relationship to the amount of exercise.
First of all, I was always under the impression that they eat a lol LESS on the ranch than approximately 3,000 calories - I don't know where I got that, whether from watching the show or on the TBL discussion forum here on 3FC.
Also, she seems to be be pretty much on goal, and 90 minutes of exercise a day is a huge amount! Especially if 60 minutes out of it is dedicated to cardio.

OMG SANDI THAT IS SO AWESOME DID YOU JUST SQUEAL THE WHOLE TIME!

*big breath*

I would have. I would have been a blubber fool over Courtney too -- mostly because she is my personal favorite and hero. That girl is exactly what I want everyone losing weight to emulate. She's positive, she loves herself, and it's not anyone else's time line that matters.

As for guessing Marci's (or any other contestants) diet or exercise regime, we have no idea what their personal metabolism or circumstances are.
