Laughter is great exercise for the soul- and the abs! I took a "Laughing Yoga" class once and man, it was a blast, a great workout, and i felt so high afterward!

There is a documentary out there about the Laughing Club of India. It's no joke!

Seriously, sounds like you are doing great with your weight loss and managing your choices when eating out. Enjoy!!

A lot of men don't realize how all-encompassing and consuming the weight-loss/healthy living mindset can be for us. If you sat him down and explained that you are trying not to go back to an unhappily high weight I'm sure he would understand. Food pushing can be irritating, but it also means he thinks you look great and should be able to eat whatever you want!

As for the comment, it's overreacting a bit to claim he's a jerk or is autistic for commenting on someone's size. And it takes forever and a day to catch up mentally and really believe that yes, YOU are much smaller than you used to be. It takes time to adjust, but you will. Have a little faith in yourself - it sounds like once you overcome these hurdles, you'll be really happy with your guy!

I'm going to tell you something I hope someone tells me. I have a tendency to play myself down big time and just take what's available.

When searching for a guy you really want to spend a lot of time with, be picky. It's ok to be. If his lifestyle bothers you, that's a pretty big deal in my book. When I start dating I'm looking for someone who leads an active lifestyle. I want a guy who makes me keep up with him!! This after 12 years of dragging a man behind me kicking and screaming yet begging me to do so. It was hard enough carrying my own 100 extra pounds around on my back without lugging his around too.

I'm going to comment that if all he knows is that you work out regularly, that may be why he doesn't think you need to watch portion sizes or make healthy choices. It seems like most men I know seem to think that's what exercise is for, to allow them to eat whatever they want (and think it works that way for us too).
