Yes indeed, Laffalot. We do live in a great country and you are in one of the most beautiful parts.
Today I am grateful for:
+ a super night with my "girlfriends" last night - kids, dogs, good food, wine and laughter
+ being able to sleep until after seven this morning
+ a slightly milder day today - it'll be above freezing!
+ I'm making progress on sorting and pitching stuff
+ "Death by Chocolate" - worth the calories
+ an hour this morning to work on my special quilting projects for teaching my class
+ blueberries for breakfast
+ Aleve as my back is still bugging me
I am grateful for life and another chance to be a better me.
I am grateful for:
My son
My family
My dog, Maestro
My job
Being able to take care of my responsibilities
Being educated and having an education
Knowing the Lord and how he keeps me every day
Living in a nice, quiet place
Life's experiences and how it has made me the person I am today
Music, I love it
The weight I've lost so far
+ slept through the night
+ Moel and Joanne loaded me with firewood
+ the stove burned all night so the back of the house is toasty warm
+ I faced and recorded scale damage this morning - I was brave!
+ John and Rob's wedding invitation arrived
+ finally pitched/recycled the old Christmas wrapping paper
* My father's surgery went well.
* I can walk everywhere in the hospital. The last time my father was in the hospital I was embarrassed at how out of breath I would get just walking from the room to the lobby. Now I am the one volunteering to run to the car, food court, gift shop, etc. I look for an excuse to go move!
* My mother is cooperating with us and letting us do things for her.
* Family leave
* I have learned to play Angry Birds like my grandson thought I should. I look forward to talking to him about it.
* Family, friends, indoor plumbing, 3FC, Cell phones and Internet
