...are you "destined to maintain a BMI of 28 forever...???"
**** NO!
not if you make the necessary shifts...
I like the feedback CatherineF and others gave on this thread...take what makes sense and apply it...
I know that it's totally frustrating when the present circumstances aren't what you envisioned...aren't what you want them to be...I completely get it...
and it's definitely not just about the digits on the scale...that can be a great means of measurement but more importantly...
are you losing fat?
are you looking better in the mirror?
are you feeling a greater sense of vitality?
are you gaining a little lean muscle?
these are often times more important than the numbers on the scale...
if you look like a uber-supermodel...feel an extraordinary sense of vitality and energy...all your vitals are in great shape...and you have a low body fat percentage - does it really matter if you weigh 800lbs?
now, I know that's exaggerating a bit but the point is to keep your focus on what's more important than what the scale says...and I think you know that but..........
as one super smart guy once said "learning is remembering" - I think it was Socrates
YOU'VE ALREADY LOST A HUGE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT!!! I congratulate you on that from the bottom of my heart...that's tremendous...it really is...
DON'T FORGET WHAT YOU'VE DONE – use it to place in focus what’s possible…use to “know that I’ve done it before – so I can do it again…and do it better…and make it last”
now in terms of not being at the target weight you want,
momentarily...
keep your focus in check...
once you get a precise calculation and measurement of the current situation...that's really all the focus you should give it...
and from here, focus on
NOT how it
IS but how
YOU IDEALLY WANT IT TO BE...
Keeping your focus on point is crucial...
Don't let a little pebble or two in the road become a mammoth mountain...it might seem like it's more than a pebble but is it really??
I completely get where you're coming from...if it's not how we want it to be, then we get pissed and sometimes just wanna give in...…just wanna bury it…just want to avoid…………like "what's the use"...
if we do that though...we end up making it much worse...
you have a choice between two paths...
1) give in...give up...or
2) gauge where you're at...come up with reasons why you might be "stuck" and develop 101 solutions that will allow you to
CRUSH this challenge and breakthrough
If you choose Option #1 =
what will happen?
how will that affect you emotionally...physically...spiritually...intellect ually...how will it affect your relationships and every other facet of your life?
If you choose Option #2 =
what will happen?
how will that affect you emotionally...physically...spiritually...intellect ually...how will it affect your relationships and every other facet of your life?
Which will you choose?
"it's in our moments of decision that our destiny is shaped"
you're not at the mercy of external circumstances here...you have the power...
The main thing is that what you're currently doing...your current approach/strategy may not be effective...and that approach/strategy needs to be shifted...
Einstein said we won't solve our problems by using the same level of thinking we used when we created them...
too often we bang our head against the wall and keep getting the same results, which are far from our target ideals...
it’s common sense.......and very simple but..... too often we don’t make the necessary adjustments that would potentially dictate a new result - the result we want most
the shifts don’t always have to be huge….many times just a small change in the system can lead to profound effects…….i.e. - the butterfly effect…
but we know this stuff --- we just don’t do it…
we keep doing the same things and get frustrated with the same bull**** we run into…
we gotta make the necessary shifts...
Here's THE FORMULA =
KNOW YOUR TARGET
DEVELOP A STRATEGY
IMPLEMENT/TAKE ACTION
NOTICE WHAT RESULTS YOU'RE GETTING
AND CHANGE THE STRATEGY IF NECESSARY, UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR ULTIMATE DESTINATION
very simple - very powerful...
ask yourself - what are the missing pieces that are preventing the breakthrough - what could you change - what might best position you to achieve the results you're after...
is it knowledge...not knowing various elements that if applied would make all the difference?
is it a shift in nutrition?
a shift in your workouts?
a combination?
let me know what you think...and I'll do whatever I can to help out...
you can do this...you're gonna do it...
I wish you the best - talk soon!
