I was going through the kitchen cupboards after my bf cleaned them out and realized we had a box of apple cinnamon fiber one muffins, and two different types of no pudge fudge!
So have decided to make the muffins for thanksgiving dessert. Then the mint no fudge pudge brownies for my bday on dec 5th, and the raspberry no pudge fudge brownies for xmas.
No more than one serv muffins, and no more than 2 serv brownies. also got some no sugar added hot chocolate for xmas.
Both products have been around here for at least a year, with No Pudge for much longer.
I haven't tried the FiberOne mixes...but the no pudge was passable. I ended up ditching it because having light versions of baked goods around makes it hard for me to control myself - I do a lot better having one regular brownie than one low-cal brownie, which usually turns into multiple low-cal brownies. I remember them coming out a bit chewy for my taste, too, but I'm weird about brownies...I know lots of people who enjoy them.
I tried No Pudge products a long time ago. I did not like them but I was trying to go from high sugar products to the No Pudge. At that point in time, nothing but high sugar and high fat products would have tasted good to me.
I have found that low sugar, sugar substitute products, no fat, or low fat products taste much better after my system was weaned from the high sugar and high fat. Fruit tastes so sweet to me now but when I was in the midst of my sugar highs, not even fruit could meet my sugar desires.
It's not that big a deal for me to have it around because I am not into sweets the way I am into high fat/greasy/salty foods. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of chocolate anyhow.
Also, I like my brownies chew. :P So it works out.
The fiber one muffins have been around a long time. I really like them. But since I plan on making the entire box I'm going to just leave two muffins out and freeze the rest and use them for breakfasts in the future.
