I went to college aimlessly for a few years and essentially wasted money, time and financial aid. Then I left and spent about 4 - 5 years in entry level jobs, switching around and never finding my place...
About a year ago, I found I really missed school and wanted a Psychology degree. Now I'm nearly done and planning my applications in Master's and Doctorate programs. So don't give up hope on him! The work force will kick his *** back into shape and show him that school is a gift, like it did me. It might be longer, shorter, but he'll come to realize it eventually. If he doesn't, then he'll have found something make him happy otherwise.
