Size depends on so many different factors!
1. Body shape. An apple has no butt, hips, or thighs, so they can wear a smaller pants size than a pear who carries all their weight in this area, as an example.
2. Body composition. Muscle takes up less space than fat. If you're 200 pounds and muscular you're going to wear smaller sizes than if you're 200 pounds and fatty.
3. Cut of clothing. All kinds of things can make a difference in how a size fits you - low rise vs high rise, slim cut vs full cut, junior vs misses, petite vs regular, etc.
4. Brand of clothing. A size 12 is not a size 12. Just go to a couple clothing websites and look at the size charts...there can be as much as a 4 inch difference in waistband size for the same size pants!
5. Preferred fit. Obviously if you like your clothes to fit more loosely, you're going to wear a bigger size than someone who prefers a trimmer fit.
