I suppose I should read people's signatures a little more carefully. Thanks!

Well, I'm back!

What an ego boosting weekend! I had many compliments although it wasn't all like I expected (I made a lengthy blog entry with details for those interested. I'll leave the massive wall of text out of this post and just point you to the blog if you want ALL the details).

Talk about motivation to keep going! I am so enthused. And I saw my dentist for the first time yesterday and she and the techs all freaked out - I had to detail every little thing I did for them LOL.

No pics =( Although, the professional photographer took a group photo of us 4 cousins (raised as siblings pretty much) which I am going to ask for a copy of so I can have a decent "in progress" picture where I look gussied up haha!

Eating was an issue. You'd think that food in Los Angeles would have a bend towards the healthier side no matter where you went. Not so much. I had a hard time finding things I could eat, and even then, it wasn't very tasty (also, the fair smells really good... but all I could eat there was a diet Pepsi).

I have spoiled myself with my own good, healthy, tasty cooking. I also didn't count calories the whole weekend, which is the first time I have not done that since the start of this journey. I am happy to report I came back 2.8 pounds lighter despite the obstacles!

All in all, it was a success and I have come back with renewed enthusiasm and a stronger sense of self confidence.

OH MY GOSH Pacifica Bee!

I totally remember when you started, and I am so thrilled at how far you have come! I pop over into the 300 pound section from time to time because that is where I began, but during the spring and summer I am so incredibly busy that I hardly have time to read anything unless it rains! I'm am tickled pink for you and your accomplishments. WAY TO GO GIRL! Awesome, just awesome!

I read your blog. And you know what? I get the advice on how to lose weight from people too! What is that about? I've lost 65 pounds people...I kinda think I might know a little something. It always starts with "You should try..." or "The best diet is..." I just smile and nod.

What great reactions though! How much fun is that?!
