Yep!
It's McArthur Mall allright! Before that, the biggest mall here was Lynnhaven. McArthur has 3 levels. Half of the other stores in the mall are new to this area like Pottery Barn, Illuminations, Yankee Candle Store, etc... The third floor is the food court and regular resturants like Chili's, a kids play area and a Chuck E Cheese type place called Jeepers, and a movie theater.
Can you tell I love this place??
You know, I have never been to the Pungo Strawberry Festival. I guess I can never get anyone who wants to go! Maybe I will next year-just drag my 7 year old along if we wants to go or not!

I think my sister (who lives here too) goes to some of your malls each year. Her and her mother in law have this big shopping weekend each December at Potamac Mills. They literally shop the entire weekend and get a hotel to stay in!
They told me I would LOVE that mall!!
happy Sunday!

Boy, I feel for you. I used to live in N VA and frequented 7 Corners a bit. I was thinking what a great big target I'd be for the sniper. I hope they catch him soon.

Well, woke up this morning to the news of another shooting (the one you refer to in Falls Church). This is complete and total insanity. My greatest hope is that this killer gets the same merciless treatment he's dealing out. Our schools are STILL locked down--I realize it's the right thing to do but we're getting weary of it.

Seriously hope the witnesses to this one are able to provide the clue. I've mentioned my daughter and family in Rockville; also have a son and dil in Fairfax so have had to include them in "fear list" as well. DIL is running inMarine Corps marathon ina few weeks and I keep thinking what a great target that race would be. Am encouraging dtr to come home this weekend just to spend some time a distance away from the target area. Still praying he's caught before then.

I was thinking about the marathon, too--and Halloween. I have a sense that something is going to break in this case soon--the police and the FBI aren't releasing ANYTHING so as not to tip off the suspect (s). Today my husband I were out shopping--I told him that I'd stand in front of him and do jumping jacks while he loaded the stuff in the car. Just kidding but we sure are ultra-aware of our surrounding when we go out these days...

common sense says this creep just can't kill a person a day forever, the police must be going nuts trying to catch him. I would of thought you would be safe going to a crowded shopping mall but guess he thought of that too, getting to the stage your not safe anywhere untill he's caught. Must be so scary for you HotFlash.

Barb,

I've been thinking about you and your neighbors today - maybe this is the beginning of the end of the sniper nightmare!

I pray this is the guy, and that it is all over and you can spend as much time outside as you want!

Thanks Angi!! With all that has happened in the last 24 hours, I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off of everyone in our communities around DC. I feel confident that these are the guys in question--so much so that I plan to resume my walks around the lake on Monday. Thanks to everyone who sent prayers and wishes our way over the last few weeks--it was greatly appreciated.
