Whoa....was wayyyyy offfff OP last night! I ate a dessert at dinner. My calories were like 2500 yesterday! YIKES!

Down to 217.2 today so a little over a pound loss.

I am trying something different this month. I am not counting calories (well not writing it down) but just making good choices at meals and only eating fruit/veggies if I need a snack.

up this morning for the second day in a row. It doesn't add up to much (226.8 friday, 227.2 yesterday, 227.4 today) - .6 lbs over the two days and I Aunt Flo showed up for a visit this morning, so I'm not concerned. My fingers are swollen, so I know I'm retaining some water. My wedding ring is a great indicator for me of water retention - and it's stuck this morning!

I am sore today! I had an awesome day yesterday. Asher, I'm trying C25K too. I ran a full mile Thursday, then yesterday started in on week four of the program. Even though I can run a mile (with difficulty) it was still difficult running week four! Then I did legs with my personal trainer, which was just plain dumb. He didn't have to make me do much to absolutely kill me. Then I did yoga. Yoga was good. My legs hurt today. But, I lost .4 ounces which I figure is pretty darn good considering I'm probably retaining some water today.

Cathy, I hope dessert was good! LOL! That sounds like one heck of a treat!
Mom23, what were you doing prior to calorie counting? I do something similar to what you're trying. I don't journal either. I eat 200 calories at each of six meals throughout the day. All I ever have to count up to is 200.
Katmarie, congratulations! That's a fabulous first weeks loss! My dearest friend weighs about what you do and she just started a liquid diet of only 800 calories. She only lost three pounds the first week. I feel for her. I think she's taking a tough route.

Up +.2 again. I'm feeling disgruntled today, most due in part to a stupid dream I had right before waking up where I looked down at the scale and saw 227. Guess the visualization trick doesn't really work, does it?

I'm considering upping my cal. intake today. Maybe I'm eating too little? Here are my numbers for the past 4 days:

SUN: 1174
SAT: 1219
FRI: 1144
THU: 1188
WED: 1440

Besides Wednesday, I've keep it below grade each day. Going to shoot for a 1400 day is see what happens.

down 2 lbs - I kind of expected it because yesterday was artificially high from a restaurant meal that was basically on plan (slightly high but just 100-200 calories). I really pushed the water yesterday to get all that salt out!

This is .4 down from two days ago, so I'm seeing that as the net loss and I know I'm heading in the right direction!

I am glad I found your new thread! I will try harder to check in more regularly for May! I wasn't too consistent for April although I did weigh-in with consistency! I am down 8 lbs for the month of April!! I have started May with a 1 lb. loss! I am now in a new decade...weighing in at 259.8
Keep up the good work everyone! And keep pushing the water! I know that helps me when I can get enough water in!
