This thread it great! It is nice to have a sense of humor about these things. I too don't sweat the way I would like. My hubby exercises and works up a sweat down his chest and back, forms a nice vee shaped pattern on his shirt. My behind sweats, the back of my knees, along the front leg openings of my underwear all get sweaty, and I get the lovely tomato face too. But do I get the I've been working hard sweaty vee, no I get the soggy bottom! It's nice to know I am not the only one!

For the machines, just sit on your towel. It was the norm in a circuit class I did.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I don't really SWEAT - butt sweat sometimes.

I wonder if I will be like Dumplin and sweat when I loose more weight.

Default butt sweat...

omg! I wish I had known years ago it was not just me! A place I used to work at (I was on my feet) had black plastic chairs in the breakroom. I was so mortified every time I would get up to go back to work. I had to hastily dry off the seat.
I start with a personal trainer this week and so I guess I have more black plastic in my future! rotfl

I actually asked my dr. about this because I was so embarrassed after spinning class, lol! She told me it's normal and that wearing shorts instead of pants helps (helps the air flow better, lol). But to be honest, I sweat all over at the gym!

I always sit on a towel. It prevents butt sweat marks on the seat and it just makes me feel better that there's a barrier between my butt and other peoples butt sweat. Gyms are gross!

Wear a diaper

Just kidding. The amount we sweat has to do with our genes. I personally look like i just took a shower with my clothes on after I work out. I dont mind it, its just proof of the great workout you had.

So if you aren't going to wear a diaper, I say, BE PROUD OF YOUR SWEATY BUTT!

Is it your butt or is it your vajajay area? I wear fitness pants that whisk away wet, plus cotton underwear and I started wearing a pantiliner, which helped the most. I carry a small towel around with me and wipe the machines off if they look damp at all.

Good thread.

I did have to giggle though. Having raised athletic twin boys, who still work out a lot, they talk about "butt cheese" all the time. And farting, well guys turn that into a sport.

Seriously though, it's sweat, it's natural. I would just sit on a towel and not worry about it beyond that.

I'm a face-sweater personally, if I'm in one spot I WILL have a puddle on the floor not even kidding LOL hair soaked thru too. And my back! but not my a$$ not sure why... but I think the best idea is the sitting on a towel thing, a pre-emptive strike! GO SWEAT!
