Default Move it, Move it! (exercise thread)

blah, so it's middle of the week, but I figured with the new challenge going, maybe we'd all ike to keep track again... and I forgot where we left off on Butt Movers....lol ANYWAY, for me...

1 hour with Denise Austin (gasppantgasp)

Anyone who needs a goooood workout, and doesn;t have money for videos, they do 2 Denise Austin workouts every weekday on lifetime, 4 am my time, so I record it, but for east coast, that would be 7 am... there's 2 half hour woprkouts, and I do both of them... just no slackin during the commercials!

Default 4 days in a row!!!

Well, I've gone back to the gym. I was going to cancel my membership because I haven't been going. Now that my oldest is back in school, I've signed up for monthly child care at the gym for my 2.5 year old. Since I have to schedule a specific time for the child care, I basically have made an appointment with exercise each morning.

Monday: walked 3 miles on the treadmill (and overdid it a little)
Tuesday: 2.25 miles/treadmill
Wednesday: 2.5 miles/treadmill
Thursday: 2.5 miles/treadmill

It takes me 45 minutes (including 5 min warm up and 5 min cool-down to walk 2.5 miles). I'm going at about a 3.5 mph pace and definitely sweat. I'm feeling less self-conscious about all of the really in-shape people. I'm trying to just focus on my work-out and not worry about the skinny-minny next to me who's running.

This morning I didn't feel like going but something about having an appointment and having to call the gym to cancel the child care made me decide I'd rather go than cancel. I'm glad I did.

After I'm more comfortable again with the whole gym atmosphere, I'm going to try some of the weight machines. Fortunately there's a women only area that's kind of off by its own. Wish me luck! I'm going to go for 5 days in a row tomorrow.

It's pouring rain today so I'm planning to do the 2 mile walk with Leslie when I get home.

Hey I'm on day 4 in a row with the Leslie Sansone tapes "Walk away the Pounds"
I feel sort of silly with this infomercialesque product, but I'm doing it and not hating it, and with the weights I'm getting a good heart rate out of it.
I did the one mile Monday
2 mile tuesday
1 mile Wed + 30 mins of pilates
and 2 mile today

I get up early and do it while everyone else is sleeping, then nap time is all my own, though I did have the urge today to do an extra mile at nap time...

I'm not in pain or wiped out for the rest of the day. I guess I gotta go with what I can stick with.

I'm aiming for a little something every sigle day, that way it might become a habit.
Congrats Anagram- I used to do a great water work out at the college pool way back when, it's really effective.

I rode my exercise bike for about 35 minutes then did some leg toning exercises and 50 crunches.

Check out the new thread I started Sensational September Abs. Let's all focus on our abs next month. Maybe by next summer we'll have 6 pack abs!

I think right now I have 2 liter bottle abs--you know the rounded pooch that comes out, around, and down.

hello everyone! happy labor day!!
I did a mile yesterday and actually did some crunches. I want to get a lot of walking in this month. I feel it will help the weight loss along and of course get me in better shape. I saw a local half marathon on tv yesterday and these guys and gals can RUN 13 miles in 70 minutes!! I probably could only walk 4 or 5 miles if I was lucky in that time. It inspired me though to get moving. Maybe next Labor Day weekend 2003 I will be out there at the beach in the half marathon myself. Even if it is walking one, it would be a great accomplishment. I picture myself at goal weight and doing this next year. I guess it could happen-only 90 more pounds to go!!
