Welcome! I'm glad your Dr. recommended 3fc, it is awesome. I read a lot of diet books and kind of devised a plan that works for me. I think a lot of the ladies here have found success that way. I love my crock pot even in the summer and have found lots of great lower calorie recipes here and on the sparkpeople recipes site. Counting calories is great for me and I use thedailyplate.com to track, it is a huge part of my success. Hope that wasn't more info than you wanted I love walking outdoors too, it does help with depression for me as well. Post away, I look forward to reading of your success!

Welcome Aspen. Exercise releases serotonin and naturally lifts your spirits; and being out in nature helps you connect with something bigger than yourself and puts life's problems into perspective. It's the little things every day that help me when I feel down. Like taking just 15 minutes to go though some papers that I need to organize and file. I spent a month just over the mountain outside Ft. Collins at a seventh-day Adventist weight loss program. Beautiful location. The high altitude was tough at first. 7,000 ft. WOW. You must have a lot of red blood cells.

I lurk more than I post, but I'm glad to meet you. I'll be sending you support vibes each time I read one of your posts. Welcome

Again, thank you everyone for such a warm welcome. It's such a relief to "talk" to people that understand how emotional and hard all this can be. I know some of the basic things I need to be doing to pull myself back out of this spiral, but knowing and doing are sometimes pretty far apart. But yesterday was a better day than I have had in weeks. Partly that was forcing myself to do the walking, but I think a lot of it was your support. So thank you!

(A couple of people said they were having trouble reading my posts, so here is a new font and color. Hope that helps!)
