I had to laugh, I am on the edge of chicken overload. I had it last night with yams and asparagus (I have that meal a couple of times a week usually).

I'm trying to eat more fish. Cod, salmon. They're not too bad to cook in the summer since you can broil the salmon, and saute the cod and it doesn't take more than around 15 min.

I eat pastas without meat sometimes, or with lean ground meat.

everybody has already given you the other stuff I eat, maybe pork chops, steak strips, steak.

I eat different fish, shrimp, pork or turkey. I also have veggie dishes. Sometime I make breakfast for dinner (eggs, toast, fruit)

I envy all you chicks who like, (or even love) fish. I detest it, matter of fact, fish and liver are the only foods on this planet I don't like! Seriously, I like everything....except fish and liver.

Thank you all for the good ideas! I forgot about pork tenderloin - I like that. And I do like fish so I'll add that too. Turkey feels a bit close to chicken, so I think I'll hold off on that for a while.

It's funny, when I'm standing in the grocery store looking at the meat and fish department, I just blank on what to get or how to prepare it and go with chicken. I've got to branch out...

when I was a kid, my mother used to love to eat liver and onions, my dad would make it. it was like a big treat to her. how I hated the smell of that!! I can eat liver in some other forms, but fried liver and onions, just the thought makes me shiver. ha!

grocery stores are so huge and superstocked nowadays, if I don't plan ahead of time what I'm going to buy for what dish, forget it (imagine a deer in headlights). I can't do it from walking into a grocery store without a list.

Meat in my house atm includes chicken, fish, shrimp, hamburger, steak, pork chops, pork roast, beef roast, pork ribs, cornish hens, beef and chicken livers and canned tuna. I also love ham, lamb, veal, goat, mussels, lobster, Alaskan king crab legs, turkey and duck and I'm tempted to try buffalo meat. I love a variety of foods and it keeps me from getting bored.

Mostly I eat what's on sale unless I have a taste for something specific. Right now king crab legs and asparagus are on sale so that sounds great for next week!

Quick tip for the buffalo, which I LOVE...it has such a low fat content that if you don't cook it on low, it has a tendancy to dry out really quickly.

I shop by what's on sale too. I plan out what meat I'm going to eat what day then pick the cut when I get to the store and see what I can find on sale or clearance (can't beat clearance meat!).

I go in cycles, including going meatless for up to a few days at a time. I miss steak but right now find I am craving fish more than anything.

We just had cubed steak last night, it's pretty comparable to chicken calorie wise. It was nice to eat something other than pork loin chops and chicken breast! I hadn't even thought that I could touch a piece of beef.. which is horrible since we live on a beef farm.

Personally I love chicken breast, its my favourite meat. When its roasted, I'm convinced it tastes positively steak-like. But again i don't eat it everyday. I rarely eat red meat but occasionally I might have lean pork cutlets or lean turkey cutlets (but more likely turkey cutlets bcos they taste to me the same as the pork kind and I imagine they have less saturated fat... or something.).
Mostly though if I'm not having chicken breast, I have a white fish like tilapia (my favourite) (roasted in the oven bcos I'm lazy like that) or occasionally salmon or I make a dry stirfry (well with olive oil spray) with shrimp and scallops and tomatoes, ginger and whatever vegetables are convenient to go with brown rice or potatoes.
