Welcome, You have done amazing in keeping off what you did loose, and even when you backslid, you were able to gain control, I did not do as well as you but gained 40 lbs past my all time high, and after a few years of being in the dumps I too have begun my journey, so my dear you are not alone here many many wonderful people to help you here, and for you too encourage others as well...I just love furry babies!!! I miss mine but they have long crossed rainbow bridge ;(
Yay!!! We've got two more ladies looking to transform their lives! I'm so glad you're here. I look forward to getting to know you better and hearing of your success as you embark on this incredibly rewarding journey.
Welcome Welcome!! There are so many people here with kids, that I sometimes feel odd that I DONT have any, and just have my furbabies so its nice for me to see someone else with only furbabies
I remember reading on here from someone is to try and eat the maximum calories you can, and still lose weight. Because when you plateau, you can easily drop, vs if you start out on the lower end, you dont have much room to play around with.
I have consistently lost weight, when I actually track my calories, and exercise regularly by eating between 1700 and 2200 calories and a cheat day here and there.
Thanks evryone for your welcomes. I didn't know where to find my original intro until Sandi told me it was here on Breeezies thread. I actually had a bit of a cry yesterday, becasue I thought I had found some real support, but then I couldn't see anyone responding. I felt still on my own and isolated in the journey. Feel a bit dumb now though! You were all here all along. Thanks for the advice on how to start my own thread Chickegirl. got one going now.
I have started on 1670 calories and I guess when I wirhgin(woops that was meant to be weigh-in!!!) tomorrow for the first time I'll see how it has gone.
It feels so good to be part of this. Talk to you ladies later, and thanks again
I didn't want to start my own thread, so I thought I'd say hello here...
I'm new to 3fc as well. I've been dealing with the epic rollercoaster of weight gain/loss since high school. As I'm approaching 30, about to get married, and am going to hopefully start a family shortly after, I'm highly motivated to kick my chubby booty into shape! I have almost exactly 100 lbs to loose, and am really excited to chat with all of you, as the things I've read so far seem so kind, encouraging, and helpful! I can't wait to get to know you all better
Hi all the other gawjus babes on 3FC. And Hi to you, our new friend, Nice to have you in the conversation! Well, more of an extended intro, but what the hey. I have noticed how many of us have struggled with weight long-term. I have lost so many times my body weight through my lifetime, and just put it all back on and more. The typical yo-yoer I guess. I have tried hard to stop that trend in the last few years and have definately stabilised, but in the last year or so there has been a marked upwards drift. Maybe age!! So I am trying to be really honest about what I am putting in my mouth, and how much work I am doing.
hey I've been reading stuff which says that treadmill work isn't really worth it in terms of cardio, and that you should do more weight type of training. I know that you burn more fat when you have more muscle, but do you actually not need to do the treadmill/bike type work, and just focus on weights??
