tired!

I'm really flippin' tired of being in the 230s. I entered the 230s on May 14th. It's now June 18th and I'm still smack-dab in the middle of the 230s at 235.2. I've been gaining and losing the same 0.8 lbs for three or four weeks now!

It's not a mystery why. In the weeks I've gained, I've gone over my allowable WW points. (Wow. Imagine that. A GAIN when you don't follow the plan! )

I don't often do this, but I need a kick in the boo-tay. I am setting another intermediate goal. I will be out of the 230s by July 23. That's just a tiny hair over a pound per week.

You can do it! How can I help :D

Devsmama 06-18-2009 01:09 PM

I know how you feel. I was in the 240s for 5 weeks and finally i busted through to the 230s. I don't know what did it, but it happened.

:kickbutt:

I got a few of these yesterday and they were very helpful!
Can we do more?

Do you want to post what you eat everyday and have someone check it over for you? Would that help?

How about exercising more?

Remember why you are doing this!

Jennelle 06-18-2009 02:08 PM

I think I will post my WW points for the day, my water intake, and my exercise. That will keep me accountable to more than myself.

chickiegirl 06-18-2009 02:25 PM

Go for it Jennelle! Time to just buckle down and kick those 230s in the butt! Kick hard!! :)

MugCanDoIt 06-18-2009 02:34 PM

Bless your heart. How frustrating. I know its so hard!!!!! Hang in there and be persistant.....that is the key. Persistance. Hope the scale is kind to you next time.....

Boy can I relate, Ive been stuck in the 220's...wanting to get to onderland some time this year !!lol

WildThings 06-18-2009 06:12 PM

I've been doing the same thing with 200-205. I just want to bust into the 100's...obviously not as bad as I should though, because I've been struggling to stay on plan. I haven't been that far off plan, but not healthy eating at all (one day last week I got all 1600 calories for one day from potato chips and pineapple...talk about terrible eating). Fortunately, I think I have it back together. This week I've planned, planned, planned and by this weekend, I am determined to break the 200-205 cycle.

Just keep pushing forward...it will happen.

needed to read this thread, screwed up this week, ha.

Good luck, Jenelle, you'll do it!

Jennelle 06-19-2009 12:08 AM

Okay - so for today:

- 30 WW points (which is my goal)
- 72 oz. of water
- I didn't go to the gym. I have shin splints from not waiting between runs. :( I will go tomorrow, now that my athletic training major daughter has taught me some good lower leg stretches!

Alana in Canada 06-19-2009 12:25 AM

Well done for hitting your goal!
:cp:

And ouch about the shin splints. I had them once. It's a good thing you have an expert on hand to help you out!

Can you cycle with shin splints? I know you can swim! (If you can swim. och., I'm tired.)

Windchime 06-19-2009 12:36 AM

Jennelle, I stayed in the 230s for nearly 7 weeks and it was awful! I started to feel like I was stuck there forever, and then BOOM--one week I lost 4.5 pounds (my biggest week ever) and I was out of the 230's, never to return.

Stay on plan, keep your eye on the goal--it's bound to happen for you soon. I can relate to how you're feeling!

Institches21 06-19-2009 01:04 AM

Your body is just slowing down a bit, sometimes it needs some time to adjust to all the good stuff you are doing. Also remember the scale is not the only measure of how well you are doing, have you taken any measurements lately?

Hey, you have lost 35lbs, that is Super!! Just stay the course, Slow and Steady, that's how it will stay gone, forever!! Hope those shins feel better soon, they are so painful.

Yep. Cycling doesn't really bother them. I probably could have jumped on an exercycle at the gym, but they're even more boring than the treadmill! I have a bike, but we've been under heat advisories all week. (They call them when the heat index - a combination of heat and humidity - reaches 105 degrees F during the day and doesn't drop below 75F at night.)
