and if I didn't say it enough? I am SO PROUD of you. I was talking about you to my hubby last night and saying it was so freaking cool to have a buddy that started at almost the same weight, was losing at about the same rate and who started at almost the same time. We BOTH said last night that your plateau would break soon
You did it! You did it! You DID it!!!!! Atta girl!!! You just keep on - doing it.
I am so happy for you. What an incredible thing you have just done for yourself.

But I do have to ask you, if you don't mind? Why is your chosen method of weight loss - not fun? Are you not enjoying the foods that you're eating? Just curious.

Wow, keep talking!! It worked!!
Robin, I'm on Atkins. I'm staying on induction for a long time because it's safe to do so, per Dr. Atkins himself, when you have a lot to lose, and I do. Plus I am super sensitive to any carbs ~ they can trigger a binge. So my mindset is that, I'm fine with giving up, permanently, most things other people refuse to give up, like sugar and starch. I'll be able to incorporate things like some fruit back in eventually, but not for a while.
I tried Texas as a plateau-buster, since I've been plateaued for almost 3 full months. You can google and read about it (The Texas Low-Carb Elimination Diet) and I'm 110% sure you'll agree that it's not fun, but it's working. I'm just in stage one. I'll move onto the other stages, and end up with a list of foods I can enjoy and still lose weight.
I enjoy low-carb fine, Texas, not so much, but it's temporary. It's like laboratory testing to find out what works, and what doesn't. And I'm SO glad I started it because I immediately discovered, I'm allergic to decaf! It's been making my legs swell for YEARS!!! Who knew????
What an amazing accomplishment DCHound!
100 lbs gone! You are a true inspiration.
You have shown all of us, but myself in particular, that no matter what happens, no matter how long of a stall you have, if you stick to your guns and keep your commitment to lose weight, you will get there!
Congratulations!!!
I knew this moment would be coming! Congratulations, DCHound!
You have been taking care of business, lady. Funny-sounding understatement, but you know -- you have really been taking care of business. It sounds like you have gotten so small in clothing size before pounds, you have been doing what needs to be done even when it's a somewhat grim change, just everything. You have really earned.
Save me a seat at the table (and hold the dressing on the side, please ).
