Default "Newbie"

I've recently rediscovered this great site (much updated and WOW!).

I've been "working on it" again and feeling good about it. Not on a "diet", just working on eating in a more healthy manner. Improving on the water but a long way to go. Don't plan to weigh in too often but to note improvement by clothing fit, etc.

At my last dr's visit in March, I weighed 250 so you can see this is where I need to be. Next weighin/dr visit on the 20th.

Been very inspired by the losses I see. Hopefully if you can, I can.

Ah yes... well my dear allow me to be the first to welcome you to the board. You will find so many good and wonderful friends here who will stand like a rock with you through thick and thin...LOL.
I to remember when I was 238 and can't wait to get back there but I have a long way to go. I have recently made one of my first major goals which was to get below 300lbs. What a great day that was for me. When I started on this path I weighed in at 353 1/2 lbs! Mond you my Darling that is not my top weight, oh no, my top weight was 475lbs. Years ago I lost down to 238 but due to an injury and illness well here I was again and the weight would have kept right on going but I knew it was way past time to get hold of this situtation and Sugar if I can do it, trust me, you can too! Post everyday or as often as you can it really makes a difference and helps to hold you responsible for your choises. So welcome to our world and get ready to change your life for the better!!!!

Thanks, Pam, for the welcome. I can understand your feelings about getting under 300! What an achievement! Hope to be here with you 'til you reach your goal.

Right now my goal is that first 5 lbs. My basic goal is to help my old body a bit more than I have. I too have had weight gain due to illness (RA and consequent inactivity). But things are going fairly well right now and I hope to build on that and make further gains.
