I truly believe in the more sugar you eat the more you crave theory. I have been so dead gum hungry today it is unreal. What I cannot figure out though..... is even though Slim Fast have a lot of sugar in them, I am not too hungry when I am on them. Anyone have a clue?

I think you could be right about the sugar craves sugar idea.

Also I had bacon for breakfast as a special treat. All calorie counted, loads of water during the day to counteract the salt (seems to have worked, bony ankles this morning) but either
something about a mostly protein breakfast (bacon plus a banana) didn't keep me full
or
a fairly high calorie breakfast meant lower calorie meals than I usually have in the rest of the day
or
maybe I Did burn a ton of fat.

Thankyou! That was really kind.

And today? Well today I've got up to 1200 calories planned in, which includes 3 meals and 2 tiny Easter eggs, and today's meant to be a high 1500 and I don't know where to find the rest from!!!!!!!

I'd pencil in another couple of healthy snacks. Don't let yourself get too hungry now. It's a recipe for disaster. How about a yummy sliced apple sprinkled with cinnamon? A no fat yogurt? A veggie platter with some salsa?

Not that I'm a shining example, but... I have a thought! When you look back at the previous day, can you imagine how you would feel if you would have given in to the craving? I've done that before and I always think that I would be very disappointed and the calories would be in my body, and the taste gone. (I don't know if that makes sense) But, if you look back and realize that you were strong and resisted, you have a great feeling of accomplishment, the calories are NOT in your body, and the taste is still gone... but without the bad stuff to go along with it. You will have survived the temptation and emerge victorious!!

Slashnl, you're right, it would have definitely been disappointing to have given in to short-term gratification.

Robin, I've just eaten chicken with 2 kinds of potatoes, carrots, brussels sprouts and peas. If I put any more in, I'll burst. And I've eaten dadadadah! 1102 calories.

I can't think of anything to eat that has calories but little volume - unless I went to the corner shop and bought a large bar of chocolate but I truly don't want any more sugar today.

Not complaining, just continuing to wonder at/try to get a handle on the wonderful vagaries of my body. And I promise to keep an eye on things so I don't keep going low. (Happened last Sunday too though!)
