May 11:311 (+6)(Ah crap!!! O forgot to weigh in yesterday so this is from this morning. It's been a lousy week eating wise and on top of that I got a new scale, it's so nice and there is a total 2 lb difference than my old scale. I guess I'll work harder at this and today is my first day calorie counting after using my journal for a few days.)I put 310 must have miss typed. it was 311

Am I the only one that does NOT believe the scale when it shows a loss of more the a pound or two? My scale originally said I lost 3 pounds so I got on and off of it a few more times and shifted it a tad. I got a different result. Shifted it a bit, got on and off a few more times...another number. I end up taking the average of the numbers or the one that popped up the most.

The worst part is, then I usually end up getting weighed at the gym or the doctors only to find out the original lower number was right! (I don't change my ticker or anything though.)

Am I the only one that only believes the scale when it has BAD news?

I know what you mean, irish. I chucked my digital scale because it refused to give me the same number twice in a row. With my current scale, I've developed a tendency to stand still, check the number, then wiggle around a little and see if it goes higher, then take the highest number it gives me.

Side note, woohoo, I'm back to 252 today! My target weight for the challenge! *does the carrot dance*

I am 2 pounds from my summer goal. Of course, there is always an "if" attached.
I was so sick after surgery that I didn't eat for almost 2 days. So while I am thrilled with what the scale is reporting, I am not confident that it is here to stay.
