Default Slippery slope

I find that yes rest days are good for you - however - I know if my goal is five workouts a week - that two rest days in a row are BAD. I always have to tell myself it's a slippery slope to not working out at all. Instead of complete rest - I have walked inside a mall and done lighter activity.

Friday is my official 'day off', but Mondays feel like a rest day to me because I usually do yoga instead of some type of cardio. So cardio 5x a week, weight training 3x a week, yoga once a week, and on Friday I rest.

If I take two days off in a row I start to get pretty lazy about getting back on the workout wagon, so I try not to do that. I do think it's true that you start to lose your conditioning in as little as two days, which is another reason I try not to take more than one day off at a stretch.

Of course, it doesn't always work out that way, and when I do get back to it, it's always that much harder to get back in the groove.

I dont schedule days off. I typically work out after work, and if its something that I get home pretty late or something, I dont work out. I try not to do that more than twice a week, and so far I've been able to do that.
