I love popcorn. Just air-popped, salted, delicious popcorn.

one of my fav snacks is making our own pita chips

Buy WW pita bread and take a serrated knife and run along the outside edge to split into two rounds. Stack them and cut into eights.
With a pastry brush spread on a little bit of EVOO on both sides and single layer them on a cookie sheet. sprinkle with a mixture of parm cheese, italian seasoning and garlic powder, bake at 375 till starting to get brown and crispy, once they are cool you can keep in zip lock

Also I roast chick peas, drain, rinse and drain real well, toss on a cookie sheet a little EVOO, and what ever seasonings you like. roast thm for about 40 minutes keeping an eye on them. great healthy snack.

Dont foget you can make your own hummus easily for your pita chips, can of chick peas, seasonings of your choice! blend away

Savory is SO my downfall as well. I've discovered though that it seems to be related to the salt (perhaps I was a horse in my former life and am missing my salt lick). I find that when I am craving savory, as long as I sprinkle a little salt (and pepper too, yum!) on something starchy (potato, popcorn) or legumey (my fav are the pinto beans), it somehow hits the spot.

I'm a sweets girl all the way, but the hubby loves salty snacks that go with a beer. I make him pizzas to snack on. I use a low cal/low carb tortilla. I toast it a little bit and then top with pizza sauce I make with tomato paste and italian seasonings, chopped bell peppers, chopped onions, turkey pepperoni and low fat mozzarella. When I have these I add sliced mushrooms.

Lots of great ideas!

As for mustard I've tried a lot of different kinds. I'm the same way with tea. If it has tea leaves in it I don't like it. If it's made with (mustard seeds I guess) i don't like it.

I want to like it! But even thinking about it makes me gag a little lol.

I enjoyed the Sweet Snack ideas thread so much I thought I'd start one for the savory side of life.

Yesterday I discovered a new snack I love. I take 2 servings of peppercorn triscuits (12 crackers) and 1 slice of swiss cheese. Then I put a bit of cheese on each cracker and nuke it for about 15-18 seconds.

Something about the hot crackers and melted cheese really does it for me and it's easy. You can do a half order but I can usually fit in the 320 calories it comes out to and like it enough to spend the calories there when i have a snack attack.
Mmm that sounds delicious! I will have to try that!
