My BMI went down 2 points from where I started as of today. Yay!

I ran my first "official" 5km run.
My time was 37.25 minutes. I'm so proud of myself. 4 months ago I could only run for a minute before I'd have to stop and walk and recover for at least 5 minutes.

My thighs don't rub together very much anymore. I just realized this yesterday. I had a skirt with hose on and it is so much more comfortable than it used to be. At my high weight my thighs would get so chapped and raw from the hose. I have even had to wear large bandaids. Sorry if it's TMI, but this is a wonderful nsv for me. No more swish noise from the hose rubbing either. :carrot:

I went to the Colts game yesterday (GO COLTS!) with my friend from college. We parked quite a ways away from the stadium in order to get cheaper parking, so we had to walk about 5 or 6 blocks. It was cold so we were walking fast and we were often walking over snow and dodging around people. The next morning, my friend woke up and complained that her calves hurt from all the swift walking. Mine, however, didn't hurt at all! My legs felt fine, lol. Yay for being more physically fit!

Another NSV that's related to the game: I did not eat any of the junk food at the stadium, even though my friend got nachos and offered to share. I had a bottle of water and that was it!

I joined a new gym about 5 weeks ago and when I got on the eliptical it really kicked my butt--5 minutes was all I could handle. But I was determined to conquer this so I started adding minutes and I had gotten up to 20 min. Last Thurs. I accidently set hte time for 30 min and rather than change it I just decided to see how far I could go. I did all 30 PLUS the 5 min cool down!!
Oh and I also ran my first 5K Saturday.

On Saturday I worked out for the first time since I gave birth (was much too sore before that). It was a short workout but left me with some muscle soreness which felt SO good!

Today I had my 6 week postpartum appointment & the doc said my healing is going great (had a 3rd degree tear). I should be able to get full into my workouts soon.

I bought a LBD dress today at ROSS and it was a size 16!!! I looked smokin' in it and it is going to be worn for all the weekend festivities.

It was a bit tight around the boobs but eh the boyfriend will enjoy it. My grandmother however will have a freaking cow I am showing cleavage.

I'm wearing a size 12 now!! I bought some black work pants last week and those were 12s and then I tried on some size 12 jeans at Target, and they fit too! Two different brands! YAY!! I cannot remember the last time I wore 12s. I think I was in Junior High.

Cfmama, that's so funny! Yay for hidden body parts starting to appear...I'm sure many more will be showing soon :)

I ran last night for the first time in 8 years (I was in the Army). Okay it was only for 10 min, 5 - 2min runs, but hey it was still running! I'm going to try to build up so I can run 2+ miles again without stopping!

My 13 yr old son can pick me up. He thinks this is really funny, so he randomly throws his arms around me and lifts me off the ground. Makes him feel good that he's so strong and makes me feel good that I'm small enough that he can.

Congratulations!!! Running is my Achilles' heel. I always feel good after I've done it, but doing it is SO HARD. Way to go taking it up again!

I've been on the same dose of my thyroid medication forever and have my bloodwork done regularly. My bloodwork came back today and my doctor called and told me my thyroid level was a bit too high and that I should skip my meds one day a week.

I'm sure this has to do with losing weight and being more active. I can't imagine what else it could possibly be.

On the downside I was probably losing a little more weight than average with my thyroid in overdrive which I'm guessing will taper off when my levels come back to normal. Oh well -- too much thyroid isn't good for you either...but it's kind of tempting lol. :)

There's actually a warning on the bottle that says "Don't use for weight loss!" heh.

The point is my body is healthier, yay.

One of my work husbands (we have worked together forever!) who has been verry supportive of my weight loss, told me today that he went to lunch with 3 other guys from our office. When he came back...he told me that the other guys were discussing how great I look since I have lost so much weight. He swears that he didn't mention me...They brought up the subject.
