Default Apple or pear shaped?

How would you ladies define your body shape?

I am definitely an apple. If I try on jeans that fit my legs, I can't zip them up to. If I get them to fit my waist, then they're quite baggy in the legs and bum.

Of course being 120 pounds overweight means I'm big everywhere, but I'm not that wide when you look at me straight on. However my profile really shows my big stomach. What do you other apples out there do to flatter your shape the most?

What about the pears out there? What do you wear that you feel flatters your figure the best?

That's a tough question. I think I have an hourglass shape. Big chest, big tummy and big behind. Everything is kinda big.

Flattering. Nothing. Really, what is most flattering right now is things that fit. Alot of my stuff is too big and those outfits are doing nothing for me.

I would have to say I'm an hour glass figgure as well, large chest, smaller waist, large bottom.

When I was small, it was great. Hopefully I'll be their again someday.

I agree, at the wieght I can't find much that looks good on me. It's hard, they don't really make a lot of the "in styles" for plus size woman.

Good luck,

Hmm. Well, I have an hourglass shape, though have a problem with the lower tummy area. I have thick thighs and a large chest..and a smaller waist. It's not "small" but well defined. So, I must wear clothes that fit well to flatter anything.

I don't wear flower patterns.
I don't wear stripes unless they go up and down.
I don't wear clothes that are too big or too small.
I wear darker clothes on my bottom half than my upper half.
I don't wear shirts that aren't made right, with no shape to them
I wear a heel to fool the eyes, I look like I have long legs.

And I smile...

I am a great big pear. I am probably 3 sizes bigger on the bottom. I don't wear anything tucked in or belted. High waisted jumpers with pretty blouses are my staple.

Well, I'm an hourglass, too. Just a great big, giant, huge hourglass! Always was. I have big bosoms, too. The thing I hate the very most is my 'back fat', eeeeuuuuuu...but, then, there's always my huge belly...ah, well, we can't have everything - I'd just like to have a lot less!!! But, you know what...I have NO butt! I've always been the buttless wonder!

Bella, have you checked out the clothing links here on 3FC? There are some really cute clothes in some of them. I am lucky to have a dress shop here in my area called Catherine's. They have the nicest clothes! Very chic. The prices are a little higher than I'd like but not over the top by any stretch of the imagination. But...they run sales ALL the time. Then, twice a year, once in Jan and in July, they have a clearance sale where everything is 50% of the sale price. I've picked up a fab wardrobe for cheap! I've also got some beautiful clothes from Lane Bryant and Roaman's.

Gotta go...Boston Public's on.

Love, Gayle
