Hi Everyone! So I'm new to this forum, but it seems like a great place for support! I need as much support and help as I can get in reaching my goal!
I posted an intro in the 20 somethings thread if anyones interested.
I'll just sum it up here, so I'm almost 23 and I'm getting married in about a year. Ultimatly, I need to lose 100-110 lbs. I just keep thinking, how did I let myself get this bad, it's so depressing! My goal is to lose 50-60 before my wedding. So that gives me a little less than a year ( I have to have time to buy the dress!)
I officaly started my diet on Monday and I'm hoping I can do it this time and not fail like I have so many times before!
If anyone out there would like to lose 60-100 lbs and would like to be weight loss buddies I think it would absolutly amazing to have someone to confide it and talk to. Maybe we could even talk over myspace or AIM or something. (If that's allowed)
Please! I think a good buddy would help me so incrediably much!
hello & welcome. count me in for a buddy. I am wanting to lose at least 80 pounds myself. so what diet are you on? I have been counting calories.. and recently starting myself even more when it comes to my workouts.
Yay Belinda! Looks like we're weight loss buddies! I too am just counter calories for now. Debateing if I want to try a certain diet or not, I think I may just stick to counting calories. And yes, I need to introduce myself to excersising more often!
no prob.. counting cals works easier for me.. because i dont feel as restricted. my hardest habit to break is the bad snacks.. but i am getting better at that.
Yes! I agree, I feel like I can pick what I want to eat more so then I could on a specific diet! I love love love chips, bread, pastas, that is my major downfall. Also, ice tea, the sweatned kind I'm obessed with it, but I know it has to go
hey can i join! im 26, im a student and a mom....my goal is def 60+ lbs to lose! i count calories, try to lift weights 4 times a week, i say try cause sometimes i get lazy and dont do it lol im getting ready for my first 5K race on thanksgiving...im so nervous! this week starts my first week of training lol my myspace is www.myspace.com/haleygirlandkate i also have instant messenger(yahoo, aim and msn) ttyl
simple changes will make it possible to still eat all 3 of those things..
baked chips, wheat bread & wheat pasta.. once you get used to them they are just as yummy.. have you tried the Crystal Light Teas? I have always had a hard time drinking plain water but with the crystal light i find myself drinking at least 6 bottles of water a day.
I"m too old to be your buddy LOL but I'm sending you waves of encouragement!! Good for you to nip this in the bud at 23 and not waiting til 40 like I did -- it'll make for a better life for you yay!!!
and the dress is one DAY but healthy is a lifetime

Good morning chicas!!
Went to the gym this morning.. did 45 on the eliptical.. 2.92 miles and 546 calories.. the funny part is the whole time I am on it I am trying to convince myself to stay on.. I keep telling myself that I have to burn at least 500 calories.. haha!! My next goal on it is to do 3 miles in 45 min. The good news is that my legs are not burning as much as when I first did it.
My grand total for calories yesterday was 1682.. and I burned 831.. If I dont see some weight loss this week I am going to scream!!
How are you guys doing today.
**Also am I the only one out of us 4 that has kids?
haley.. i could never be a veg .. i have a very limited amount of vegetables that i actually like. It definitely is a healthier way of eating though!
belinda245-well you'd think that the only way to be veg is be healthy....but i see it has theres veg's that are ultra healthy and theres me lol i love all things bread and dairy(cheese, ice cream) i am a pathetic veg lol but i am trying....and i dont have 4 kids but i do have 1
i went to the gym on campus today, i forgot my lunch at home so i bought a pumpkin spice coffee and a fruit and yogurt parfait it was the healthiest thing that wasnt in the dining hall(i didnt have $7 to go in there), what i really wanted was a spinach/cheese croissant) so i think i made a good choice lol
i think that i should get my sugar levels checked because i exercise and i count calories and the scale says im gaining weight like crazy but my clothes still fit fine so i dont get it! my thyroid is fine ive already had it checked and diabetes does run in my family! that would suck if i had it but im losing my mind seeing the scale keep going up no matter how good i am, for weeks im talking not just a day or so
