Hey I was diagnosed with DDD (Degenerative Disc Disease), which is a deteriorating of the discs in your back. Anyway, it is VERY painful and in Feb. I couldn't even get out of bed to go to the bathroom I was in so much pain. However, I eventually overcame it, and I avoided surgery. I had to do physical therapy to strengthen my lower back. One thing I had to do was lay down on my back with my feet on the ground my knees were bent then they put a large coffee can between my legs and I had to squeeze it. Then they put a belt around my knees, and I had to push out with my knees. If you really want some suggestions I would ask your Dr. because they may be able to help you given your situation. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!
